After leaving Haiti I was flying over the sea.

And after a while, I arrived on the coast of South America, to Colombia to be more exact.

Hey rainbow

This is the rock of Guatape in Colombia, what a random and strange piece of rock.

Pretty nearby is the city of Medellin. If I'm correct then this city between the mountains was the original home location for Pablo Escobar.

Staying on my course to the south I flew over the Del Ruiz mountain that reaches 5311 meters in height.

I decided to leave the mountain range and fly over the Rainforests a bit.

I left the Columbia and the photo below is already in Ecuador.

To be honest, it was boring as hell to fly above the rainforests, nothing to see besides the forest and lots of rainfall. 😅

For this reason, I decided to leave the rainforests behind and go back to the mountains that go all the way along the western coast of South America. First I had to make a quick refuel stop in the Galilea airport in northern Peru.

I was already pretty tired because I had flown for hours on that day already. Still, I did a short half an hour flight out of rainforests, to the mountains.

Landed in the Chachapoyas airport in the Peruvian mountains. Note that there is also a pretty sizable town there, they are casually living high up in the mountains.

Flight from Haiti to Chachapyas took me 4 hours and 40 minutes in total.

I have already advanced with my flights along with the mountain range to the south and in the next post, you will see some stunning landscapes of Peru.
