An old Dutch 2,5 Gulden coin
About five months ago, I wrote about a coin I picked up at the flea market, which brought back some old memories. I had 0 knowledge about the composition so I didn't really expect anything of it, I also didn't pay much for it so it was all good either way. At home, I went to the Numista website to find out that the earlier version of this coin in fact has silver in it, mine was a little too old though.

In the comment section you will find a comment from Silversaver888 who told me she had a 1955 version of this coin containing 0.720 silver and that she wanted to gift it to me if I liked it.
I'm grateful for any gift but especially silver ones, lol. I mean this coin is not about the design but old memories even though during these earlier years, I was not even born. I surely remember using spending a "Knaak" as we used to call the 2,5 gulden back in the days.
Unregistered mail
It was funny because @silversaver888 told me she sent it without tracking and regret it later because what if it got lost in the mail? I have 0 experience sending or receiving those in the regular mail here so I thought it's best to just wait and not stress.
About 8 days later she asked me if it had be a month already since she sent it, oops. I told her it's more like a week, haha. Personally I thought maybe by the end of summer it will be here. Guess what? It arrived shortly after I said more like a week! Never expected that but I was very happy she could rest now and that I could open my gift..
A beautiful card
When I opened the envelop, I first found a beautiful card:

Of course my daughter was instantly in awe because of the kitten and pup on the card, great choice!
Thank you for the kind words and I'm very happy it didn't get lost! I never expected it to arrive this quickly though, luck was on our side!
