It's been at least a decade since I last heard "Heavy Metal" and it brought back a flood of good memories from my early teen years. Sammy Hagar is an amazing performer, probably why he was asked to join Van Halen (and did from 1985–1996) after David Lee Roth left the band. "Van Hagar" was the name fans came up with for the era Sammy performed with Van Halen after David Lee Lee left.
