I am pleased to join the new community and my first post is my entry to the contest - Introduce Your City Community (IYC) Contest #2 - Sports. Click the link to read the rules if you'd like to participate.
I missed the first contest and I will keep an eye on the next. But for now @freedomprepper and @beeber prompt for sports and I know exactly what to show.
I live in the outskirts of the town of Varna, Bulgaria. We had a stadium, where the community decided to build new sport complex. Which was great idea and being very close I would love to use the facilities. Last year the project was finished and then the pandemic put in hold all sport activities in close areas. Luckily the place is designed with plenty other facilities outside.
There is a hall for indoor games, bathrooms, changing rooms.
Last year, when it was still under construction I took this photo.
Big choice for outdoor sport activities, football, volleyball, basketball, tennis.
Kids have their corner with playground.
Sprinting or jogging, or maybe just walking around.
The table tennis is next to street fitness.
Plenty of benches and seats for spectators. For those who cycle, there are places to leave the bicycles.
The place is empty, I was rather early there. But I think it will be used more when the weather permits and the pandemic restrictions fall.
On smaller scale, the local park offers also place for sport acrivities, like football, basketball, volleyball and table tennis.
All in all we have enough of almost everything to be involved in different sports very close to where we live.
The town itself offers much more as we have plenty of other places where one can choose what sport to practice. I may put together another post about. Just need to make new photos.
