2024 Australian Lunar III Gold Lunar Dragon Coin

I need a break from vintage silver!

I ordered this in December and received it in the new year. Guess what it is?

Still Elizabeth II? I don't mind at all!

The obverse is a bust of Elizabeth II. It is the profile of the former monarch in the 2015 portrait with the George IV State Diadem designed by Jody Clark. Elizabeth II was 89. Maybe next year, it will be Charles.

2024 1/10 oz Australian Gold Lunar Dragon Coin (BU)

The reverse of the Gold Lunar Dragons depicts the Chinese dragon. The dragon is depicted as a benevolent creature that assists humans in achieving a proper rapport with God, other spiritual beings, or humans’ life situations, and not a destructive beast.

With a twisted body, waves, and fog in the background, the Dragon is portrayed as a full-body portrait in the new reverse design. In addition, it has the appropriate Chinese sign, "DRAGON 2024," and the letters "P125," which represent the mintmark's connection with the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint.

The Dragon is the fifth zodiac sign in the Chinese Calendar.

According to Chinese mythology, dragons are extremely powerful creatures that can make the world prosperous, control the wind and rain, soar through the skies, and turn over rivers and seas. Its culture states that the attributes of the ascending animal determine the corresponding year.

And so, 2024 predicted to be fortunate, bringing wealth and good fortune.

Silver, gold, and platinum versions of The Perth Mint Lunar Series, which is well-known for its excellence and collectibility, are staples in many precious metals portfolios.

The original lunar bullion series—which debuted with the Series I launch in 1996—began in Asia and then expanded to Europe and America. As investors learned more about the design and quality of these coins, demand for them increased.

These coins are among the most sought-after collections worldwide. The coins' limited mintage creates an additional investment return opportunity for numismatic premium appreciation, which is something that many investors find appealing, in addition to the yearly design change.

The 1 ounce Gold and Silver Lunars are now known to sell out instantly each year due to the popularity of this series!
