Saludos estimada comunidad, hoy vuelvo por aquí para mostrarles otras muestras de arte urbano.

Las paredes de la ciudad no dejan de sorprenderme, allí puedo encontrar manifestaciones naturales y genuinas de jóvenes artistas que se expresan a través de pinceles o graffitis. En mis habituales recorridos no había caído en cuenta de la cantidad de talentos que utilizan las calles para sus fines, tal vez porque la cotidianidad no me había permitido contemplar tales creaciones. Ahora miro con mayor curiosidad.

Greetings dear community, today I come back here to show you other samples of urban art.

The walls of the city never cease to amaze me, there I can find natural and genuine manifestations of young artists who express themselves through brushes or graffiti. In my usual tours I had not noticed the amount of talents that use the streets for their purposes, perhaps because everyday life had not allowed me to contemplate such creations. Now I look with greater curiosity.

Definitivamente, la ciudad no sería la misma sin estas coloridas paredes que embellecen las calles cumaneses. Me complace pasear la mirada por ellas porque cada una cuenta una historia a través de diversos elementos que anidan en la imaginación del artista. Si bien muchas veces la obra consiste en exhibir un nombre, alli circunscribe una técnica y se reflejan ciertos patrones culturales de una época específica.

Definitely, the city would not be the same without these colorful walls that embellish the streets of Cuman. It pleases me to look at them because each one tells a story through various elements that nestle in the imagination of the artist. Although many times the work consists of exhibiting a name, it circumscribes a technique and reflects certain cultural patterns of a specific time.

El mural que se puede apreciar en las fotos fue elaborado por un reconocido artista cumanés que firma con el seudónimo de Memín, diría que es el más famoso si se habla de graffitis en la ciudad, pues ya he coincidido con algunas de sus obras. Esta creación suya está ubicada cerca del Elevado y destaca por sus letras pintadas en amarillo con sombreado en azul marino. Considero que el artista apeló a los colores distintivos del sol y del mar, elementos que identifican al oriente venezolano.

The mural that can be seen in the photos was made by a well-known artist from Cumana who goes by the pseudonym of Memín, I would say that he is the most famous if we talk about graffiti in the city, since I have already seen some of his works. This creation of his is located near the Elevado and stands out for its letters painted in yellow with navy blue shading. I believe that the artist appealed to the distinctive colors of the sun and the sea, elements that identify eastern Venezuela.

Cuando pensamos en Cumaná de inmediato vienen a la mente olas, playa y sol radiante. Igualmente, las gaviotas frecuentan las costas, he observado muchas de ellas en el malecón de la Avenida Perimetral, es un espectáculo verlas volar en grupos surcando el cielo. Otro elemento que se muestra en el mural son palmeras, indiscutible símbolo del paisaje marino.

When we think of Cumaná, waves, beach and sunshine immediately come to mind. Likewise, seagulls frequent the coasts, I have observed many of them on the boardwalk of the Perimetral Avenue, it is a spectacle to see them flying in groups furrowing the sky. Another element shown in the mural are palm trees, an indisputable symbol of the seascape.

Se puede apreciar además a tres defines, que añaden dinamismo a la obra, estos inteligentes mamíferos suelen acompañar a los turistas y pescadores en mares abiertos como en Mochima, Cariaco o rumbo a Manicuare y Margarita vía Puerto Sucre. Los paisajes que se pueden observar desde los botes en movimiento son sencillamente inolvidables, el azul del cielo reflejado en las cristalinas aguas marinas originan sensaciones maravillosas.

You can also appreciate three dolphins, which add dynamism to the work, these intelligent mammals usually accompany tourists and fishermen in open seas as in Mochima, Cariaco or towards Manicuare and Margarita via Puerto Sucre. The landscapes that can be observed from the moving boats are simply unforgettable, the blue of the sky reflected in the crystalline marine waters originate wonderful sensations.

En el graffiti el mensaje es claro:"Yo amo a Cumaná". Durante siglos, la figura artística del corazón se ha establecido como símbolo del amor, acá el sentimiento es por la ciudad, sus habitantes, su historia y lo que representa. Tal expresión se ha vuelto común, por tal razón, la podemos encontrar en diferentes estados de Venezuela, incluso adornando sitios icónicos con piezas estructurales.

In the graffiti the message is clear: "I love Cumaná". For centuries, the artistic figure of the heart has been established as a symbol of love, here the feeling is for the city, its inhabitants, its history and what it represents. Such expression has become common, for this reason, we can find it in different states of Venezuela, even adorning iconic sites with structural pieces.

El artista Memín, fiel al estilo del graffiti, resaltó todos los bordes con un delineado negro. Los colores que usó son bastante llamativos, tanto que invitan al público a voltear la mirada y observar con atención los detalles. En lo personal, me pareció vistoso y agradable, sin estridencias ni saturación, un diseño sencillo que cumple su cometido de transmitir un mensaje. Sin duda, el arte urbano se manifiesta con creatividad desde varios ámbitos y emerge desde el sentir más profundo.

The artist Memín, faithful to the graffiti style, highlighted all the edges with a black outline. The colors he used are quite striking, so much so that they invite the public to turn their eyes and look carefully at the details. Personally, I found it eye-catching and pleasant, without stridency or saturation, a simple design that fulfills its purpose of transmitting a message. Undoubtedly, urban art manifests itself with creativity from various fields and emerges from the deepest feelings.
