¿Qué es un ACV?
Se define como un Accidente Cerebro Vascular el cuál sucede en el cerebro y se caracteriza por la interrupción del flujo sanguíneo este se detiene por unos pocos segundos y causa el fallecimiento de algunas células cerebrales produciendo así que el cerebro no reciba los nutrientes y oxígeno necesario para su funcionamiento.
Sintomatología del ACV
• Cefalea
• Vómito
• Mareo
• Dificultad para hablar
• Dificultad para entender lo que otros le expresan
• Problemas para mantener el equilibrio
• Vision borrosa
• Parálisis de la cara, brazo o pierna.
Causas
El ACV puede producirse por dos razones:
•Accidente cerebrovascular isquemico: Se produce cuando los vasos sanguíneos disminuyen su tamaño o se bloquean por la grasa en su interior o por la aparición de algún coagulo que impide el flujo normal del torrente sanguíneo en el cerebro
•Accidente cerebrovascular hemorrágico: Sucede cuando hay una ruptura en un vaso sanguíneo en el cerebro produciéndose una hemorragia en el cerebro.
Factores que favorecen a la aparición de un ACV
• Hipertensión arterial
• Diabetes Mellitus
• Tomar bebidas alcohólicas
• Sobrepeso
• Uso de drogas y cigarrillos
• Colesterol elevado
• Antecedentes familiares
• Infección por Covid- 19
¿Cómo prevenir un ACV?
• Dieta balanceada
• Evitar el consumo excesivo de alcohol
• Realizar actividades físicas
• No fumar
• Controlar la diabetes y hipertensión arterial
