My first focus chest rewards in the new season with the new reward system (2022.06.03)

I am currently in the Silver III League. First, I would like to mention the fact that I very much like the new reward system. It rewards regular players much better than the old reward system. I earned four focus chests with my first daily focus (it was a Water focus), and out of the four chests, I received two cards, and one card is an Epic Lava Launcher card. I am very satisfied with this.

I currently have three Lava Launchers. It is an expensive (9 mana) card in battles. There are better cards for this amount of mana, but it can still be very useful in certain battles. Especially with a summoner, who increase the ranged attack of the friendly monsters.

The price of this card on the market is currently $0.31 USD. I am thinking about buying a few more, and leveling it up at least to level two. On level two, it has six health, so one more than on level one.

My second focus is a Fire focus. I have not played a battle in this focus so far. As you can see on the screenshot below, my current rating is 1322. This would already be the Silver II League, but it is currently locked for me. Probably I will rent (or even buy) a few good cards to unlock the Silver II Legaue.

Again, I very much like the new reward system. It encourages both playing and investing in the game. It is certainly a good change for regular players. We need to invest more time (than the time was needed for the quest rewards in the previous reward system) into the game to earn focus chests, but it is worth it. At least this is how I see it, based on my first focus chests.

Maybe it is too early to say, but if the focus chest rewards will be similar to today's rewards, then I will certainly keep putting time and money into the game.

I played 56 battles in the current season so far, and I won 39 rewards, so my current win rate is 69.64%. Currently I am in the top 10 000 players. My current rank is 8928.

The rewards received today actually reminds me of 2019, when sometimes I earned multiple cards with the daily quest rewards. If this will work in long term, then I am happy that the developers made Splinterlands great again, and fair for everyone.

Some people say that the new reward system is bad. I obviously disagree with them. At least currently. And everyone can see why. We need to put more time into the game (some people do not like this), but we also earn proper rewards. At least this is what the first impression is telling me.

Probably it is too early to properly judge and form an opinion about the new reward system. We will see how this will go. I am especially excited about the season end rewards, which will be in 12 days.
