Packs have been selling out very quickly recently. The Chaos Legion packs sales in particular has increased significantly. I don't know why the sales have gone up so much but I would say it may be mainly because of the Holiday sales event and the fact that the Chaos Legion packs are almost finished. At this rate, it's possible that all the packs would be gone before the release of Rebellion and I think that would be a good thing. It would be nice knowing that one major edition is done with before another is released.
The end of the Chaos Legion pack sales would be huge because, according to what I heard, these cards really changed the meta of the game. With the significant number of packs in the edition, I can imagine that Chaos Legion was a well thought out edition that was meant to have a huge effect on the game. When the sales end, we can finally expect the circulation of Chaos Legion cards to reduce as people combine or burn cards. As the supply reduces, the prices of the cards are sure to increase and return us some profits!
I expect the prices of Chaos Legion cards to increase with a healthy trend due to the huge supply. Nevertheless, I also expect them to reach very high highs because of how important they are to the current meta (which I don't really know much about). Sure the monster cards are going to increase in price but the real stars would be the summoners. The supply of the summoners are already relatively low compared to the monsters so they are sure to pump up in price. Now, considering the fact that players need summoners, we can expect them to be very valuable and even reduce in supply way faster than the monsters. We can check the history of other editions see how this has played out.
So yes, summoners are going to increase in price for sure. Now, the rare summoners are cool and all but imagine what would happen to the Legendary summoners. Given that they have a lower supply and can grant special abilities, we can expect a significant increase in their value and prices. Because of this, I am very interested in picking up as many legendary summoner cards as I can. I already have Grandmaster Rathe at level 2;
Right now, I am considering getting either Conqueror Jacek or Possibilus the wise that was just released. To be honest, I really don't like either summoner so much mainly because I have not used any of them and when I get to play against Jacek, I always win.
Talking about Conqueror Jacek, I think that the +2 speed is good considering that fire monsters are pretty slow in general. The piercing ability is also a win for me especially given that it can be used in the Weak Magic ruleset to reduce the efficiency of any enemy shield. On the other hand, the scattershot is not something I like so much. Sure, it can really cause some chaos especially given that the monsters would be faster but that randomness is just not something I can work with. If the scattershot came together with something like Blast, I will definitely have gotten Jacek. Well, I guess he will never be as good as Yodin.
Possibilus The Wise is a summoner that looks really cool in my opinion but is he that good? Well, I don't know if that +2 health is necessary especially considering that water is already heavily armored but, for sure, it would serve well against magic so that's a plus I guess. The Reach buff is also not something I think is very necessary. I like my reach monsters but I don't think the ability is just that powerful in many cases. Well, this summoner is still new so it would take some time to know how to play it with the monsters. Regardless, I already think that the trample buff is a big plus foe Possibilus. I really cannot wait to use this ability with opportunity and sneak. It should be awesome!
I will just keep observing the game to know which legendary summoner to purchase. If the next one is better than either of this two, I will definitely get it. Well, let's just be watching.
