Hey guys, how is your Splinterlands matches been going? Here to share another Modern Ranked battle with everyone. I got a battle of 56 Mana so had plenty of space for strong cards.

Match details

Mana: 56

Elements: All Elements

Ruleset: Standard

Modifier: Born Again (All units have Rebirth)

My Team

With 56 Mana available, I decided to use Aurelia as my summoner.

For the summoner, I chose Aurelia because I wanted to build an Earth team around some strong cards. With this much Mana available, I was able to use several cards that I thought could work well together.

Here was my lineup:

Summoner

Aurelia

1st Position – Spellmonger

2nd Position – Dread Tafarian

3rd Position – Time Bandit

4th Position – Great Bear Druid

5th Position – New Beluroc Aegis

6th Position – Kicking Roc

My Team

I placed Spellmonger in the first position because I wanted this card to take the frontline attacks. I thought Spellmonger could be useful in the first position and give me a good start to the battle.

Behind Spellmonger, I placed Dread Tafarian. I wanted another strong card behind my frontline that could continue attacking when the battle started becoming more difficult. His Heal ability was also something I thought could be useful during the battle.

For the third position, I used Time Bandit. His Cleanse ability was another useful part of my lineup because it removes magic debuffs from the allied unit in the first position. Since Spellmonger was in the first position, I thought this could help keep my frontline in better condition.

For the fourth position, I placed Great Bear Druid. With 56 Mana available, I had enough room to add another strong card to my team and I thought Great Bear Druid could be useful as the battle continued.

For the fifth position, I used New Beluroc Aegis. One of the main reasons I liked having him in the lineup was his Taunt ability. It draws the attacks of enemy units, so I thought he could help protect the other cards by taking attacks toward himself.

Finally, I placed Kicking Roc in the sixth position. I wanted to use all the available space and add another card that could help my team from the back.

The Born Again ruleset was also something I had to think about. Since every unit could resurrect once, I knew this battle could become longer than usual. A card could be defeated but then come back again, so I was expecting to see several cards return to the battlefield.

I was not completely sure how the team would perform against my opponent, but I was hoping the combination of Spellmonger, Dread Tafarian, Time Bandit, Great Bear Druid, New Beluroc Aegis and Kicking Roc would be enough to bring another victory.

How the Battle Went

My enemy was TENSOON and they also brought a strong lineup.

The battle started and Spellmonger was immediately put to work in the first position. I was mainly watching to see how long my frontline could survive against the enemy attacks.

Behind Spellmonger, Dread Tafarian and Time Bandit were ready to support the team. I was also interested to see how the different abilities of my cards would work together during the battle.

Time Bandit's Cleanse ability was something I was also watching closely. Since it removes magic debuffs from the allied unit in the first position, I thought it could help Spellmonger stay in the fight for longer.

Dread Tafarian also had his Heal ability, which could be useful for restoring some of his health as the battle continued.

The Born Again modifier made the battle even more interesting. Since every unit had Rebirth, I knew that some of the cards would return after being defeated.

As the rounds continued, both teams kept attacking each other. Spellmonger continued fighting from the front while Dread Tafarian, Time Bandit and Great Bear Druid continued supporting the team.

New Beluroc Aegis also played his part with Taunt. Drawing enemy attacks can be very useful when there are several other cards behind him that need some protection.

Kicking Roc was also there at the back of my lineup, completing the six-card team.

The battle continued and both teams lost some cards, but because of the Born Again ruleset, the fight did not end immediately. Some units were able to come back and continue fighting.

My team slowly started getting the advantage. The combination of my frontline and the cards behind it was working well, and eventually the enemy team started losing more and more cards.

Finally my team was able to finish the battle with victory.

Honestly, I was very satisfied to get another victory in Modern Ranked. This was a high Mana battle with 56 Mana, so I had the chance to use a full lineup of six cards.

So I got another +40 rating and my final rating became 380 in Bronze III in Modern Ranked. I also received +82 Glint from the battle.

Looking Ahead

This was another enjoyable Modern Ranked battle for me. With 56 Mana available, I decided to use Aurelia and build a full Earth team with six cards.

Now I'm going to continue with more of these Modern Ranked battles and hopefully move up from Bronze III. I still have plenty of energy left, so maybe another battle will come along to give me yet another good result.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my battle report.
