Hello, if you play Splinterlands and have doubts about which card to choose to defend in the first position, Chain Golem came to be the solution. For those who don't know this amazing card, you will know today because I will explain how it works on the battlefield and why it is one of your best choice to protect the vanguard.

Who is Chain Golem? which deck does it belong to? what are your abilities? what is your edition? is it too expensive? The answers to these and other questions will be my goal for this post.

First who is Chain Golem?

To answer this question I will leave the LORE of the card that is possible to find in Splinterlands.

The screech of metal on metal was deafening as the golem's gears first started turning. Archmage Arius cackled in delight. He's alive! He's alive!!! Arius encoded one message before turning the golem loose upon the world: “My brother must die... find him and slay him. Only then will I release your soul back into the void.” The golem stood, grabbed a morningstar from the wall, and lumbered loudly into the night with the blood curse and his metal prison heavy on his mind.

Which deck does it belong to?

Chain Golem belongs to the neutral deck, which means that it can be combined with cards from all other decks and so you won't have to worry about limiting yourself to choosing a specific deck because you will be able to use it in practically all your battles. .

What are your abilities?

Chain Golem has 4 abilities, they are Shield, Void, Piercing and Stun. I will explain in more detail how each of these abilities works in battle.

Enable Shield (Level 1)

His first ability is Shield, this ability makes the Chain Golem receive reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks, as the Chain Golem is a card that will serve as a defense, this ability will be very useful in battles because melee and ranged cards are almost always used.

Enable Void (Level 2)

His second ability is Void, this ability makes the Chain Golem take reduced damage from magic attacks, as I mentioned before his priority is to defend so it will also be a very useful ability to have and if you combine it with the Shield it means he will receive reduced damage of all your opponent's cards.

Enable Piercing (Level 3)

Its third ability is Piercing, this ability makes the Chain Golem deal excess damage on a shield directly to the health of the card it attacks.

Enable Stun (Level 4)

His fourth ability is Stun, this ability makes the Chain Golem have a chance to stun the card he attacks and makes it unable to perform any move in the round.

For more visual details about the card, I'll leave a screenshot of its Stats below, you can find it by going to Marketplace or Cards, clicking on the card and going to the Stats section.

Now you can have a better view of the card and as you can see, despite being a defensive card it also has a good attack, so it will also be very useful in dealing damage in battles. Its mana cost is 8 and its edition is Promo.

What is the value of Chain Golem?

The Chain Golem belongs to an edition that is no longer sold in Splinterlands (Promo) so the only way to get it is through the marketplace in Splinterlands. Because it is a legendary card and very useful in battles, its price is not low and it is currently costing $169.99.

You can get it cheaper if you buy it at a higher level where 1 BCX sells for $65. You can also analyze the sales chart of the card through Peakmonster and observe what was the average value that it was sold in the last few days or even in 1 month.

In the last few days there have been no buying moves for Chain Golem and its average price has dropped a lot because a lucky guy managed to buy it very cheaply so the average price was $10.51 in the last 4 weeks.

I find this peakmonster tool very useful and it helps you to see if you would be paying a good price on a card just by looking at the average price of the last few days. This is not an investment tip, only use the money you can afford.

That was my post about the Chain Golem card, if you want you can also look and participate in my daily giveaway that can be found on my blog. Bye!
