Another hobby I picked up with my dad was to collect comic books. That was more exciting as I would always love to read them for the stories. This was a historic period in time as most of these stories are the blockbuster movies we are currently seeing from the new owners of the IP. My favorite comic book was Silver Surfer but then some artists started to take comics to the next level. Venom was a close second as Todd McFarlane made it into an iconic villain in the MCU.
Todd was also known for the convergence on art from a number of famous artists to build Image Comics from the ground up. At the time, DC and Marvel had been dominating the space but the demand clearly had space for more. Todd started Image with the Spawn series which combined the great artwork with some dark and unique stories. I was very engaged with the series as I would head to my local shop every month to pick up the monthly book if they still had some as the demand was huge at the time.
Given this background, imagine the excitement and awe when I was staring at concept artwork being shown at Splinterfest with Spawn as a character! It was so exciting that I just lost my hearing on the details although I know it is not yet set in stone. However, can you imagine the implications of this being a fact for Splinterlands and the NFT space in general? I fear that my wallet will be emptied when this is released as this will be a must for my Collection! I cannot wait for more details!
