In about two weeks the official launch of SplinterForge will begin. Today there was an announcement regarding new assets to be on sale at the official launch date. 
In short on day of launch players will have opportunity to purchase bags at a cost of 4,000 Forge each. The bags will contain cards that will enhance a player's cards' stats when used in game. There are rarities towards the bag cards and a limit of 1 million bags ever to be made.
My plan is to save some Forge for day one to purchase a few of these bags to complement my crates.
Air Drops
An incentive of being early investing in SplinterForge is the plentiful air drops. For bags it is disclosed that the more a player buys the more chances they have at earning a bonus card airdrop.
Meanwhile early buyers of crates are now seeing daily Forge airdrops. This has may the initial buy in cost for crates much lower than initially I have thought.
For purchases of 50+ or more crates there is a bulk discount. In addition there is currently a daily amount of Forge distributed to crate holders at an increasing amount. Even with more players buying crates on a daily basis it is still not reducing the amount of Forge I am collecting daily.
As of today every crate I hold I will earn around 88 Forge daily. I have spent just over 100,000 Forge to purchase crates only and to date after collecting the daily airdrops I am currently at around 16,000 Forge. I have earned about 14,000 Forge for holding my purchased crates. The end result is this potential of yielding close to par on the Forge I used! At this rate I would have earned enough Forge to cover the cost of purchasing the crates in less than a couple of months!
The amount of Forge air drop will drop as more packs are being bought but currently there is just a little of 14,000 crates bought.
That is just a meager 7% of the how supply of crates which does not seem to be a lot selling. In any case it is a good investment right now to be trying your best to purchase some crates. You will collect daily airdrops of Forge that can be saved for either selling to recoup principal and/or saving Forge for future use.
