The Splinterlands universe is no stranger to assets. From DEC (the games main currency) to SPS (the games governance token) to the cards themselves and much more. How does one leverage what they already have to add to our bags. There are plenty of ways. The most obvious is to purchase more assets. That is fine and dandy but there is something about successful trades that excites those in the investment and gaming industries. Today we will implore a simple strategy that will hopefully help add to our Splinterland bags. What is that strategy and do we earn with it?
Simply put we are going to look for a card that has a noticeable gap between the most affordable and second most affordable for listed sale. In our example above we can see the popular card known as Djinn Oshannus has a one card value of $0.22 each. We can see that currently the Splinterlands market has two listed at this very appealing price point. If you are truly observant you will also notice the next batch of Djinn Oshannus cards have a one card listed value of $0.3750 USD. That is a 70% increase in card value. Meaning as soon as I purchase these two cards for 0.22 cents each they are going to have a listed value of $0.3750 each. I would have instantly gained 15 cents+ value on each card. I could hold those cards and be satisfied with that. However because we are teaching the art of leveraging today I think we will take it one step further.
While Djinn Oshannus is a great card and 22 cents for a legendary is a great deal if we were going after stacking some profits or DEC for later in-game use we could instantly re-list those purchased $0.22 cent cards for $0.374 cents each and have the lowest listed price available. I should note that there is an important step here before taking such actions. One should always look at the average prices of the cards and rarity they are tempting to do this with. If you notice the card you are purchasing is undervalued compared to the other cards in its classification than you just might of found yourself a winner. Take a look at the screenshot below.

What do you see? Its a list of CHAOS Legion Legendary cards of the most affordable variants on the market today. Djinn Oshannus is currently the most affordable. That confirms it - I am about to purchase these two cards. Well I would have purchased those two cards if they were still there. I kid you not, someone has snatched them while I was creating this post. Goes to show that my instincts were correct. Its time to go on the hunt again. Luckily the card known as Zyvax Vuul is listed at $0.24 so lets snatch that one up. There is also a second listed at $0.28. The purchase of mine gave all other Zyvax Vuul cards an instant 16.67% increase in listed value. No other level 1's are listed for sale aside form that one priced at $0.28. There are two level 3's and one level 2 for sale. I'll leave that second level 1 Zyvax Vuul for someone else to snatch up and add to their collection.

Cards are still moving on the Splinterlands marketplace. Its like anything else. If the deal is right someone will come along. It's been awhile since I made such trades on the marketplace but I might get back to doing so. The goal - as always - is to increase my Hive Assets and help provide some action within the Spinterlands universe. Once you employ the laid out strategy in this post there are multiple options that present. (1) You can keep the card and bolster in the fact you instantly gave yourself profits. (2) You can relist and sell at the new but higher entry point. If you choose (2) a bunch of new possibilities open up. (1-A) You can stack the DEC (2-B) use that DEC to leverage more trades.
