If I tried harder I probably won't yield any positive results. Today I just moved up into Gold league as it took me under 4 days to get there. This is a personal achievement as typically it takes me over a week to get there.
So after hearing about the sale of Chaos and Nightmare packs for bulk purchases there were additional information, link to Splinterland's blog post, that all participants would receive a promo card. This was somewhat a curve ball for buyers because for individuals who pool together would mean they are not qualify to earn the promo card. You see the promo card can be earned just by purchasing a pack directly from in game during the promotion. Kind of confusing as to why this is happening but maybe just a decent incentive for making people buy remaining packs.
My total net worth in card value continues to drop and now a bit quicker than past months. It seems legacy cards from Untamed, Beta, and even Alpha are dropping in price. There maybe signs of veterans having fatigue in holding onto Splinterlands or some just need to sell due to lack of liquidity. In any case this is not necessarily a negative comment. Now maybe the best time to buy cards since last year's price pump.
What is better than rank battles? Battles that will yield much more rewards in events and brawls. I am thrilled to have pull over 150 sps over the past couple of brawls and events combined. This is less than a week's work and assuming I can repeat this season will end up being a very productive one for me in regards to accumulating sps.
For years I have mainly been able to accumulate my biggest Splinterland's purchases through Hive blog post earnings. Now with Hive price near all time lows I have to rely more on HBD to get me the cards I am looking for. On one hand its great to accumulate more Hive Power with Hive prices at lows but drawback I am earning less in HBD. Bottom line I am unable to take advantage of the recent card price drops. I am accumulating DEC but not enough to buy big purchases. In addition seeing SPS drop in price doesn't help. Overall the plan is still to accumulate HBD and by end of year have enough to get my fifth Chaos summoner at max level, Kelya Ferndul.
