Progress on Land and Things I Learned from the Secret of Praetoria Flowchart Reveal

Rebellion was launched yesterday, but sorry to say, I have none, by choice, so I didn't await it with such excitement as I did the land gameplay. I believe Rebellion will be a good edition, but my focus remains 100% on land.

I hope you guys who focused on it were lucky opening packs and will have fun testing the new cards in battles and coming up with new strategies!

Back to land...

In my Hive goals post from Monday, I announced I updated my Splinterlands goals to better reflect the post-launch situation. My immediate goal is to have 30 land plots cleared and into production by the year-end.

At that time, the situation was 24 in production + 1 Keep, and 2 worksites under construction, both to be finished by the end of the year. That would bring the total to 27/30.

In the meantime, one of the worksites was completed, and I added 2 more worksites to the list that will be completed by the year-end. If we consider the Keep as a productive plot, then, the situation right now is 26 plots into production and 3 under construction and to be completed before the year-end. That makes 29/30. It is possible that by the next Hive goals update, I will have 30/30, and a goal achieved. I'll tell you then what my plan will be until the end of the year.

I also discovered another common totem fragment, which makes them two so far.

The interesting part is that we might need to hold back on reconstructing full totems using the fragments. Here's why:

You can see from the Secret of Praetoria flowchart revealed on Monday, that totem fragments are on the path to the Secret of Praetoria. The question is will they be used as consumables or staked like DEC?

Two other surprising but, in my opinion, great additions to the Land 2.0 whitepaper draft, are the sinks for Legendary / Alchemy potions and making Guild Power a part of Land 2.0. I don't see VOUCHERs anywhere yet in this flowchart, despite Matt mentioning it will have a role in Land 2.0.

We have to make careful decisions in Land 1.5 because that will affect our progress with Land 2.0. It's probably one of the main reasons why Matt started to share the Land 2.0 whitepaper draft so close after the release of the Land gameplay, to make informed decisions for the future. Of course, momentum matters, and capitalizing on the land launch.

I haven't listened to this week's town hall meeting yet, although I imagine it was focused more on Rebellion than on Land. If Matt talked about the flowchart, I am curious if he shared any details that are not in there so far.
