BATTLE LINK -- May 29, 2024 -- Day 150 of 366 vs. @hrkut12
Today's triple ruleset battle highlights the raw power of today's featured card, the new dual-element summoner Lorkus. Only neutrals can be used because of the Shades of Gray rule, so picking the right summoner for battle is even more important.
My opponent and I both suspected Venka, so putting Arkemis up front as tank makes perfect sense. I've also found that Lorkus is very powerful beefing up the magic attack of monsters that are weapons trained by Moxian Rebel.
In addition to the two powerful attack boosts, Lorkus also allowed me to give life leech and affliction to Grimbardun and Venka. While the ability didn't really come into play for Venka since they didn't have any sneak attack monsters, it was quite helpful for my Grimbardun in the 2nd position. It gained some valuable health that allowed it to withstand more attacks, while Venka and the magic boys whittled away the health of Arkemis and Mantaroth. Once those two beefy tanks went down, the rest was academic as Venka trampled over the rest of their team for a stylish finish.
