All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. | |
All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability. |
Total Mana : 23
Usable elements : Fire, Water and Life
Wow having both Armored up and holy protection ruleset basically gives 1 any amount of damage shield and 2 melee or range damage shield which allow most units to live longer.
Team Composition
Role: Summoner
General Sloan was chosen for its range damage buff but mostly for it being a higher level summoner so that I can use leveled cards haha
Position: Melee Damage/ Main Tank
Blinding Reflector my chosen main tank for low mana battles since it comes with a good mix of armor and HP, it a great main tank for a cost of 3 mana great to use in low mana battles.Role: Flying/ Reflecting Magic Damage/ Sub Tank
Pelacor Conjurer at higher levels includes the Reflect ability which allows it to counter magic units which is great since there is a chance that magic damage unit are gonna be used and it has a decent hp pool for a 2 mana card so its great to use in low mana battles.
Role: Star of the challenge/ Magic Damage/ Debuffer
The star of this week challenge, the time mage it is a great card to use.
I use it in most of my life lineups since it has magic damage so it can attack from anywhere but most of the time i use it for its slow debuff as most light units that do big damage numbers are kinda slow so having the slow debuff equalizes the field.
Role: Magic Damage/ Buffer
Dax Paragon has the amplify which pairs well with the Pelacor Conjurer Magic reflect boosting the damage done by 1 which makes it an even better subtank, also does magic damage which allows it to attack from anywhere.
Role: Range Damage/ Healer
Venari Crystalsmith, my most go to unit in the life team since its a healer which pairs well with all of the life tanks allowing them to live longer and since it does range damage it gets buffed by the summoner's ability.
Role: Melee Damage/ Sneak
Stitch Leech another unit I use all the time with low mana life battles since it does a 2 damage for its low cost of 3 mana and has sneak so it can attack from anywhere in the team.
Now on to the Battle
Round 1
Wow a mirror life match, well there were only 3 elements to choose from so it was like a 33% chance to get a mirrored element.
Them went magic heavy as well but they played a high damage range unit and they went 1 less tank.
Due to the holy protection and armor the first round is very slow since most of the damage numbers are negated haha.
Round 2
The healer is showing its worth by restoring my main tank's hp, however their pelacor arbalest is doing too much damage and managed to kill my main tank, in this round we traded units.
luckily I played the Stitch Leech else i probably lose this match to the pelacor arbalest as it simply does too much damage in this match and luckily they did not defend it and placed it at the end of their team leaving it vulnerable to sneak attacks
Round 3 and 4
As my team was magic heavy, I managed to bypass the armor up rule which allowed my team to do more damage and the healer is helping keep my units alive.
My Pelacor Conjurer is helping by reflecting those magic damage number further reducing the amount of hp the opponent's team has which is slowly pushing the match in my favor.
once their pelacor arbalest went down the amount of damage they dealt was heavily reduced as it was their main damage dealer.
Round 5 and Beyond
At this stage most of their units have been taken down and due to the lack of damage options left the opponent's team is unable to get past my time mage as it being constantly healed by the vernari crystalsmith effectively making it a road block and this continues till the rest of their team falls
Strategy Talk
Time Mage is great to use in lower mana battles but since it is doing magic damage it does not benefit from the range damage buff which is quite sad however it does do magic damage which allows it to bypass armor and its speed is pretty good so it can dodge melee and range attacks.
an equalizer ruleset is good for the time mage since its hp value is quite low.
Ruleset that benefit the Time Mage:
Equalizer - more hp is always nice since its has low hp
Little League - mana restrictions force weaker units out so it benifits
Armored up - armor does not affect it so its always good
Broken arrows - no more range units
Keep Your Distance - no melee units
Blast - blast with magic damage is great since it ignores armor and never misses
Target Practice - gains snipe so can target backrow units.
