Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - Possibilus the Wise Summoner, a good one for the Weak Magic Ruleset

Greetings to all and sundry on this great platform, I welcome you all to my blog and today I write to participate in this week's battle mage secrets weekly challenge. I am very happy to be part of the Splinterlands family. I hope that you guys would like my entry. Without much ado, I would like to go straight to the purpose of this post. Today, the battle ruleset is "WEAK MAGIC" and I would submit my entry to that here in this post including a video of my battle.

Per the ruleset of the game, Magic hits armor first before hitting health. Add another layer of Protection to extend the life of your units. Shatter or Pierce any armor your opponent dares place I used my account @abu78 to participate in this battle. I am currently playing in the Bronze league. Before I demonstrate the battle here, let's briefly look into the Ruleset of the game.

Weak Magic
Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health. Protect, Repair, Rust are useful in this ruleset. Beware the opponent could choose only Melee and Ranged monsters, so keep a tank with Shield. Add another layer of Protection to extend the life of your units. Shatter or Pierce any armor your opponent dares place.

Weak Magic can be found together these rulesets:

Summoner:

I chose the "POSSIBILUS THE WISE" summoner. It was a 40-mana game condition and I had to manage my card selection to suit that. I chose the Possibilus the Wise summoner so my opponent's monsters that attack me by melee will have the Trample effect after eliminating a monster. The summoners also add two additional Health to my monsters and also give the reachability to all my monsters. My team lineup comprised the following; Demonshark, Fungus Fiend, Coastal Sentry, Merdaali Guardian, Torrent Fiend, Riverboat Captain, and Swamp Spitter. Swamp Spitter was a good option because it restores armor-destroyed armor to my monsters.

1st Position:

Demonshark, this card has the trample ability so any time it eliminates a monster it further goes ahead and attack the adjacent monster next to it. It is an 8-mana monster with a speed of 4, 2 damage attack, and 7 health with 6 armor protection.

Round 1:

First, all monsters took their effect from the summoner by 2 extra health and also gave the reach and trample ability to all monsters. My opponent's lineup comprised six monsters including the Demonshark, Flying Squid, Nerissa Tridawn, Merdaali Guardian, Kulu Swimhunter, and Gem Meteor.

In the first round, the Gem Meteor monster with the highest speed among all monsters attacked first with the range attack followed by my opponent's Demonshark melee attack after which my Demonshark attached next. Flying Squid then attacked my Demonshark monster and did 3 damage to its armor after which Coastal Sentry then double-attacked the Demonshark monster and Swamp Spitter restored the armor on my Demonshark before attacking. The Riverboat Captain monster attacked and also did extra damage to the adjacent monster with the blast ability effect.

Round 2:

In this round, as usual, Gem Meteor attacked my Torrent Fiend monster first followed by Melee's attack from the Flying Squid monster after which the Medaarli monster restored his Demonshark health. The Coastal Sentry monster then double-attacked and eliminated his Demonshark monster and by the trample ability, it then attacked the Flying Squid monster afterward.

At the end of the round, I was able to eliminate one of my opponent's monsters. Swamp Spitter and Merdaali Guardian monsters restored both armor and health on the Demonshark monster for me and I was good to go in the next round.

Round 3:

In this round, the Gem Meteor monster attacked first on my Coastal Sentry monster and damaged its armor. His Kulu Swimhunter monster attacked and eliminated the armor on my Demonshark monster.

Coastal Sentry attacked and eliminated the Flying Squid monster of my opponent and then four more monsters were left for my opponent. At the end of round three, I was able to eliminate another monster from my opponent's team line-up making it a total of two.

Round 4:
In this round, the Gem Meteor monster with the scattershot ability attacked and eliminated the Torrent Fiend monster after which the Demonshark monster attacked followed by Coastal Sentry which eliminated another monster and triggered the Trample ability as well.

At the end of this round, my opponent was left with only the Gem Meteor monster while I still had five more monsters in my team line-up.

Round 5:
In this round, it was an easy one for me to eliminate that monster because I was the only one to implement attacks in the round. After all, that range monster couldn't attack in the first position.

This was how my battle went and my opponent won it with ease. I think the selection of my opponent especially using the Possibilu the Wise Summoner was a good strategy.

The Coastal Sentry monster did justice to it with its double attack ability and eliminated it with an easy win.

Thank you all for your time and attention for going through my post. A link to my battle is provided here Battle Link
