Ninth Night
After the battle of Caveland had ended and peace returned to Hamilton Town, Rose and Dan fell in love and eloped to Cumbria because their parents were never in support of their union.
They started a new life in Cumbria. Rose, in the bid not to be idle, started supplying honey and gems to distant towns but she never visited Caveland.
On the other hand, Dan was a tentmaker. Since he got to Cumbria, his trade had waxed stronger and was the best sought after builder in the city. Together, the live birds became a household name in Cumbria.
Five years after they had settled at Cumbria, Dan and Rose had their first children, a set of twins. Alex and Alexis. This made Rose to reduce her trade and focus more on family life.
Dan took care of his family with what he had. The latest job he got took him to Caveland where he was to build a palace for the royal home. The job warranted that he moves his family to Caveland. This he did but warned his wife, Rose never to contemplate visiting their parents.
While the palace construction was near completion, the king died. The king-in-council urged Dan to ensure that the construction was completed so that guests from other places that would grace the laying to rest of the late king will see the beauty and honour that comes with Caveland.
This request made Dan become very busy, sometimes throughout the nights, when the building masons and experts would have to work to meet the target.
Sooner than they thought, the project was completed. The interior decor was what was left. So, Dan demanded that some of the artefact of the old palace could be used in the new palace.
Arts and craft works hanging on the wall were relocated to the new palace. But one of the artworks seemed very heavy despite that it looked fragile.
Workers had to bring Dan's attention to find the solution. When Dan approached, he simply touched the heart on the artwork, and the wall opened up and behind it were several rooms.
this place looks dusty. It seemed like it had been a long time since someone visited these rooms.
Petr, one of the masons said.
A long silence ensued. Some men began to withdraw from the scene, probably because they felt it was a dangerous ground to thread.
With courage, Dan took the lead and two other of his men followed. As they walked from behind him, Dan held the knob of the first door in an attempt to turn it open up. It was a very small room with a small court table in the middle and a saucer. There is nothing more.
Devon, one of the two men that walked behind Dan looked closely at the saucer and said to him:
Boss! This is the tea sauce of King Henry The Great. It will cost a fortune.
Dan and Orlando, the second man of whom walked from behind Dan with his eyes wide opened said:
Let's not touch any of these artefacts else we are tagged thieves.
That seemed like a reasonable idea.
The next room had a chest in it. It was locked and the characters to open it write out on the wall. Dan merely looked at it and moved out.
Orlando couldn't get his heart and eyes off the box, as Dan and Devon moved to the third door, he applied the characters and the chest flung open then the door about itself.
All efforts by Dan and Orlando to open the door proved abortive. They simply moved away in an attempt to leave the premises then the front door that leads to the secret rooms shut up.
Ninth Night
They trio were locked up there for twelve days. When they were there, Rose had come to seek the whereabouts of her love but no one seemed to give her the needed information.
As was custom, the late king will be replaced on the same day he will be laid to rest.
Rose couldn't sleep. She took the twins and together they searched for their father and husband around the environs of the palace.
Everyone they met confirmed that he was at the building site but none could tell them where Dan had been in the last few days.
On the ninth night, the same night that the late king would be laid to rest, Alex was wandering around the courtyard when the visiting priest from the origin where Caveland had first located confirmed that Alex would be the next king.
Rose and Alexis were also beginning to search for Alex since they had separated to search for Dan.
Speechless. The whole royal home became dumbfounded. They couldn't believe that someone who has no connection to royalty would become the king of Caveland. There was nothing they could do except to watch as Alex was crowned king of Caveland.
As part of the ceremonies, each Mayor of the counties would pass through the royal guard to pay homage to the newly installed king.
Almond and Shirley, the parents of Dan who were the Mayor of Albion came with their entourage. It was he who had the powers to open the secret room, three days after he had made a visit to the palace.
On the twelfth day, Dan, Devon and Orlando came out. Only for him to be told that his son, Alex had been crowned King.
The feelings of excitement and death which he just escaped and the reconciliation with his parents ensued as the family lived and ruled Caveland better, ever after.
Novena Noche
Después de que terminó la batalla de Caveland y la paz volvió a Hamilton Town, Rose y Dan se enamoraron y se fugaron a Cumbria porque sus padres nunca apoyaron su unión.
Comenzaron una nueva vida en Cumbria. Rose, en un intento por no estar ociosa, comenzó a suministrar miel y gemas a pueblos distantes, pero nunca visitó Caveland.
Por otro lado, Dan era fabricante de tiendas de campaña. Desde que llegó a Cumbria, su oficio se había fortalecido y era el constructor más solicitado de la ciudad. Juntos, los pájaros vivos se convirtieron en un nombre familiar en Cumbria.
Cinco años después de establecerse en Cumbria, Dan y Rose tuvieron sus primeros hijos, un par de gemelos. Alex y Alexis. Esto hizo que Rose redujera su oficio y se concentrara más en la vida familiar.
Dan cuidó de su familia con lo que tenía. El último trabajo que consiguió lo llevó a Caveland, donde debía construir un palacio para la casa real. El trabajo justificaba que trasladara a su familia a Caveland. Esto lo hizo, pero le advirtió a su esposa, Rose, que nunca contemplara visitar a sus padres.
Mientras la construcción del palacio estaba casi terminada, el rey murió. El rey en consejo instó a Dan a asegurarse de que la construcción se completara para que los invitados de otros lugares que honrarían el descanso del difunto rey vieran la belleza y el honor que conlleva Caveland.
Esta solicitud hizo que Dan estuviera muy ocupado, a veces durante la noche, cuando los albañiles y los expertos tenían que trabajar para alcanzar el objetivo.
Más pronto de lo que pensaban, el proyecto se completó. La decoración interior era lo que quedaba. Entonces, Dan exigió que algunos de los artefactos del antiguo palacio pudieran usarse en el nuevo palacio.
Las obras de arte y artesanía colgadas en la pared se trasladaron al nuevo palacio. Pero una de las obras de arte parecía muy pesada a pesar de que parecía frágil.
Los trabajadores tuvieron que llamar la atención de Dan para encontrar la solución. Cuando Dan se acercó, simplemente tocó el corazón en la obra de arte, y la pared se abrió y detrás había varias habitaciones.
este lugar parece polvoriento. Parecía que había pasado mucho tiempo desde que alguien visitó estas habitaciones.
Petr, dijo uno de los albañiles.
Siguió un largo silencio. Algunos hombres comenzaron a retirarse de la escena, probablemente porque sintieron que era un terreno peligroso para enhebrar.
Con coraje, Dan tomó la delantera y otros dos de sus hombres lo siguieron. Mientras caminaban detrás de él, Dan sostuvo la perilla de la primera puerta en un intento de abrirla. Era una habitación muy pequeña con una pequeña mesa de corte en el medio y un platillo. No hay nada mas.
Devon, uno de los dos hombres que caminaban detrás de Dan miró de cerca el platillo y le dijo:
¡Jefe! Esta es la salsa de té del rey Enrique el Grande. Costará una fortuna.
Dan y Orlando, el segundo hombre de los cuales caminó detrás de Dan con los ojos bien abiertos, dijo:
No toquemos ninguno de estos artefactos, de lo contrario nos etiquetan como ladrones.
Parecía una idea razonable.
La habitación de al lado tenía un cofre. Estaba cerrado y los caracteres para abrirlo estaban escritos en la pared. Dan simplemente lo miró y se fue.
Orlando no podía apartar su corazón y sus ojos de la caja, mientras Dan y Devon se movían hacia la tercera puerta, aplicó los caracteres y la caja se abrió de golpe y luego la puerta sobre sí misma.
Todos los esfuerzos de Dan y Orlando para abrir la puerta resultaron fallidos. Simplemente se alejaron en un intento de abandonar las instalaciones y luego la puerta principal que conduce a las habitaciones secretas se cerró.
Novena Noche
El trío estuvo encerrado allí durante doce días. Cuando estuvieron allí, Rose había venido a buscar el paradero de su amor, pero nadie parecía darle la información necesaria.
Como era costumbre, el difunto rey será reemplazado el mismo día en que será sepultado.
Rosa no podía dormir. Tomó a los gemelos y juntos buscaron a su padre y esposo por los alrededores del palacio.
Todos los que conocieron confirmaron que él estaba en el sitio de construcción, pero nadie pudo decirles dónde había estado Dan en los últimos días.
En la novena noche, la misma noche en que descansaría el difunto rey, Alex estaba deambulando por el patio cuando el sacerdote visitante del origen donde Caveland se había ubicado por primera vez confirmó que Alex sería el próximo rey.
Rose y Alexis también estaban comenzando a buscar a Alex ya que se habían separado para buscar a Dan.
Sin habla. Toda la casa real se quedó estupefacta. No podían creer que alguien que no tiene conexión con la realeza se convertiría en el rey de Caveland. No había nada que pudieran hacer excepto ver cómo Alex era coronado rey de Caveland.
Como parte de las ceremonias, cada alcalde de los condados pasaba por la guardia real para rendir homenaje al rey recién instalado.
Almond y Shirley, los padres de Dan, el alcalde de Albion, llegaron con su séquito. Fue él quien tuvo los poderes para abrir la habitación secreta, tres días después de haber hecho una visita al palacio.
El duodécimo día salieron Dan, Devon y Orlando. Solo para que le dijeran que su hijo, Alex, había sido coronado rey.
Los sentimientos de emoción y muerte de los que acababa de escapar y la reconciliación con sus padres se produjeron cuando la familia vivió y gobernó mejor Caveland, para siempre.
