Hola buenas tardes, noches o días para todos, espero que estés feliz con lo que estés haciendo en tu vida en estos momentos.
Mucha gente centra las historias de los primeros años del descubrimiento de América, únicamente en la relación que tuvieron los españoles con los indígenas que habitaban estas tierras.
Sin embargo, a pesar de que nosotros tenemos una visión cerrada de la colonización española, tal vez porque fueron los que tocaron nuestras tierras, no es menos cierto que los otros imperios del mundo en aquella época, también estaban en la misma búsqueda y aquí hay que destacar las labores que hicieron en la Corona Portuguesa, que en principio financiaron a un magnífico navegante llamado Fernando de Magallanes.
Luego le dieron la espalda, pero este ávido marino, en sus ansias de buscar un paso entre los dos océanos, organizó una expedición, la cual fue toda una hazaña heroica cuando consiguió el respaldo del Rey de España y de unos financistas privados para hacer una gran expedición, en donde se sumaron otros navegantes famosos y salieron con tres barcos rumbo a la América, pero nadie sabe exactamente todas las dificultades por las que pasaron, no en el mar, sino estando ya dentro de América.
Ese grupo de navegantes lograron llegar a algunas islas, donde tuvieron muchos problemas para continuar su avance y poder crear, como lo que hoy día conocemos, como uno de los descubrimientos más importantes después de los hechos por Cristóbal Colón, que fue el paso entre los dos océanos, les hablo del Estrecho de Magallanes.
Esta historia nace de esa referencia histórica que aprendí en la escuela y que, nos cuenta cómo un grupo de marinos desembarcaron en el delta de un río y se adentraron en la selva.
27 hombres arriban al delta de un río, pero lamentablemente están sin un rumbo aparente, llegan a una zona boscosa que podemos presumir que era Venezuela o Brasil y se adentran por lo frondoso de la selva en busca de oro y riquezas como les habían prometido quedando perdidos por meses, en la región selvática.
Cada día que pasaba se sentía más duro que otro, el lugar donde estaban transitando es tan oscuro que cuando llegaba la noche era como si estuvieras en el mismísimo vacío, el clima muy fuerte, casi siempre estaba lloviendo y hacía mucho frío por la poca luz solar que penetraban en los gigantescos y frondosos árboles, había lugares donde el suelo muy peligroso que si te descuidas, podía tragarte y desaparecer, se observaban cualquier tipo de animales, era un lugar muy aterrador y desconocido para ellos.
Días duros de caminata, pero este en particular fue cruel, ya que a uno de los navegantes lo picó una serpiente muy venenosa, pasó días de horrible agonía, sus compañeros no podían hacer mucho, pues sus mentes estaban tan agotadas que parecían cuerpos vacíos sin alma solo a la espera de que su compañero dejara de respirar.
Así pasaron más y más días, pero 5 de ellos murieron en la travesía de hambre, en el camino los 21 restantes de los hombres se toparon con una tribu indígena en el medio del Amazonas, con el cual tuvieron combates, los marineros no estaban preparados ni conocían el lugar para enfrentarse a ellos, pues estos guerreros tenían arcos con flechas envenenadas con el cual mataron a muchos de los marineros.
Solo hubo un sobreviviente y este guiado por el espíritu de la selva, por tener un corazón bueno, logró llegar a una zona donde ya había un asentamiento de colonizadores portugueses de una zona en brasil y allí contó su historia de todo lo que pasó y las travesías a las que se enfrentaron, también narró de como esta tribu indígena oculta en la selva se dedicaban a matar a las personas de una manera muy cruel.
27 Navigators for America
Hello good afternoon, evening, or morning to everyone, I hope you are happy with whatever you are doing in your life right now.
Many people focus the stories of the first years of the discovery of America, only in the relationship that the Spaniards had with the indigenous people who inhabited these lands.
However, although we have a closed view of the Spanish colonization, perhaps because they were the ones who touched our lands, it is no less true that the other empires of the world at that time, were also in the same search and here we must highlight the work they did in the Portuguese Crown, which at first financed a magnificent navigator named Ferdinand Magellan.
Then they turned their backs on him, but this avid sailor, in his desire to find a passage between the two oceans, organized an expedition, which was a heroic feat when he got the backing of the King of Spain and some private financiers to make a great expedition, where other famous sailors joined and left with three ships bound for America, but no one knows exactly all the difficulties they went through, not at sea, but being already inside America.
That group of navigators managed to reach some islands, where they had many problems to continue their advance and to be able to create, as what we know today, as one of the most important discoveries after those made by Christopher Columbus, which was the passage between the two oceans, I am talking about the Strait of Magellan.
This story comes from that historical reference that I learned in school and that tells us how a group of sailors disembarked in the delta of a river and entered the jungle.
27 men arrive at the delta of a river, but unfortunately they are without an apparent course, they arrive to a wooded area that we can presume that it was Venezuela or Brazil and go into the lush jungle in search of gold and riches as they had been promised, getting lost for months, in the jungle region.
Each day that passed felt harder than another, the place where they were walking was so dark that when night came it was as if you were in the void, the weather was very strong, it was almost always raining, and it was very cold because of the little sunlight that penetrated the gigantic and leafy trees, there were places where the ground was very dangerous that if you were careless, could swallow you and disappear, they observed any kind of animals, it was a very scary and unknown place for them.
Hard days of walking, but this one in particular was cruel, since one of the navigators was bitten by a very poisonous snake, he spent days of horrible agony, his companions could not do much, because their minds were so exhausted that they looked like empty bodies without soul just waiting for their companion to stop breathing.
Thus, they spent more and more days, but 5 of them died in the voyage of hunger, on the way the remaining 21 men encountered an indigenous tribe in the middle of the Amazon, with which they had fights, the sailors were not prepared or knew the place to face them, because these warriors had bows with poisoned arrows with which they killed many of the sailors.
There was only one survivor, and he was guided by the spirit of the jungle, for having a good heart, he managed to reach an area where there was already a settlement of Portuguese settlers from an area in Brazil and there he told his story of everything that happened and the journeys they faced, he also narrated how this indigenous tribe hidden in the jungle was dedicated to kill people in a very cruel way.
