We Need Solitude
This is my second photography journal entry for Visual Shot. I took this photo while hiking with some friends from my college days.
Although we humans are social beings, I believe that every now and then, we need to make time for solitude. We need to be alone—not out of antisocial tendencies, but as a way of honoring ourselves. After all, social life can be mentally and energetically draining, especially in this day and age—an era where people are increasingly controlled by social media content.
Solitude can also serve as a balm for the soul, particularly when it involves being close to the great outdoors. There are issues in this world that do not require an overreaction; sometimes, the best response is simply to remain quiet, yield, seek solitude, and step away from the crowd.
For nature, in all its beauty, is a free remedy provided by the universe.
