Dentro del maltrato duele mucho el que se hace contra ancianos, mujeres y niños. En reflexiones anteriores hemos abordado el referido a los ancianos y, hoy, quiero referirme al maltrato del que son objetos las mujeres.
Por tal razón, en esta publicación haré referencia a los tipos de maltratos de que son objetos las mujeres y proponer lo que se debe hacer para evitar ese problema, para seguir denunciando estos flagelos y como nos convocó @emiliorios, dejar de normalizar lo erróneo
El maltrato, sus manifestaciones
Para quien escribe, el maltrato es una alteración del carácter que se manifiesta en las relaciones interpersonales, en las que una persona se vale de diferentes elementos para agredir, someter, abusar o violentar la integridad física y/o sicológica del maltratado o de la maltratada.
Puede que este fenómeno se haga a una persona o varios tipos de personas y, como expresé en la introducción de este trabajo, sus víctimas más vulnerables son los niños, los ancianos y las mujeres.
El maltrato a la mujer como fenómeno cultural
Muchos atribuyen este fenómeno a un problema cultural, de educación o al contexto social en el que se desarrollan los seres humanos. Es cierto que, en ciertas sociedades a lo largo de la historia, la mujer se ha visto como un ser inferior, destinada para los problemas del hogar y alejada para una vida social destinada única y exclusivamente para los hombres.
De ahí que, muchos vean en este elemento algo común y natural y asuman que el maltrato a la mujer es algo tan normal, como respirar, comer o dormir.
Tipos y manifestaciones de maltrato hacia la mujer
Hay variadas maneras de maltratos hacia la mujer que usted pudiera pensar que estaría haciendo algo normal y no es así. En mi experiencia por la vida he visto que el maltrato puede ser físico y sicológico, o como se dice en al folclor popular de obra y de palabra. Es cierto que el físico deja marcas en el cuerpo, pero el sicológico las deja en el alma.
Por tal razón, aquí les dejo algunas manifestaciones de maltratos hacia la mujer:
•Los golpes y acciones violentas contra ellas,
•El decirles que son incapaces para realizar ciertos oficios,
•El ataque a su autoestima,
•La discriminación por su color, sexo, religión o condición social,
•El verlas solamente como un objeto sexual,
•La violación sexual,
•Impedirles trabajar o que trabajen para explotarlas y quitarles el dinero,
•El decirles que son incapaces o tienen menos capacidad para hacer las cosas que los hombres,
•El impedir que accedan a ciertos cargos o empleos por su condición femenina,
•El despedirlas de sus empleos o limitarlas por su condición de madre de niños pequeños,
•La subvaloración por razones de género,
•El feminicidio o asesinato a la mujer.
Otras manifestaciones se han estigmatizado en la sociedad y se aceptan como normal utilizando a las manifestaciones artísticas, para alcanzar cierto éxito, por lo que vemos en la música, por ejemplo, una invitación permanente a ver a la mujer como un animal sexual banalizando a este importante ser social y degradando a la música. Otros ejemplos los podemos ver en algunas obras de artes plásticas o literatura que, más allá de trascender, dejan mucho que desear de estos pseudo artistas.
¿Cómo podemos evitar estas manifestaciones?
Varias son las acciones que, a nivel familiar, social y desde el Estado, se pueden hacer, para evitar y parar el maltrato hacia el único ser que es capaz de engendrar la vida. A mí se me ocurren, por ejemplo:
•Intensificar desde la educación el respeto a la mujer y resaltar la idea de la igualdad de derechos de todos los seres humanos,
•Que la mujer reciba los mismos salarios que los hombres por realizar los mismos oficios,
•Proteger en los trabajos a las mujeres que traigan hijos al mundo, con pensiones hasta tanto los niños cumplan, al menos, un año de vida,
•Que la ley penalice el maltrato a la mujer.
•Realizar programas audiovisuales sobre la protección y apoyo a la mujer
•Realizar campañas comunicacionales en contra de la violencia a la mujer y apoyo a los derechos femeninos.
Un comentario final
La sociedad no podrá avanzar jamás si no se logra eliminar todo tipo de maltrato y, dentro de ellos, el que se lleva a cabo contra nuestras mujeres y que, muchas veces, comienza desde que estas son niñas.
En tal sentido, la educación es un pilar esencial para lograr este objetivo y recalcar la idea que todos somos iguales, tenemos los mismos deberes y derechos y lo que debe primar es que se imponga el talento desde la igualdad de oportunidades.
Por tal razón, cuando usted vaya a maltratar a una mujer, piense que es su madre, su hermana o su hija. Sepa que, al hacerlo, está lastimando a la vida, la razón y la esperanza que son femeninas por naturaleza y representan la belleza de la vida y, eso, precisamente, son nuestras mujeres.

Many attribute this phenomenon to a cultural or educational problem or to the social context in which human beings develop. It is true that, in certain societies throughout history, women have been seen as inferior beings, destined for the problems of the home and distanced for a social life destined solely and exclusively for men.
Hence, many see in this element something common and natural and assume that the mistreatment of women is something as normal as breathing, eating or sleeping.
Types and manifestations of mistreatment of women
There are so many ways of mistreating women that you might think you are doing something normal, but you are not. In my life experience I have seen that mistreatment can be physical and psychological, or as they say in popular folklore, by word and deed. It is true that physical abuse leaves marks on the body, but psychological abuse leaves them on the soul.
For this reason, here are some manifestations of mistreatment of women:
- The blows and violent actions against them,
- Telling them that they are incapable of doing certain jobs,
- The attack on their self-esteem,
- Discrimination based on their color, sex, religion or social status,
- Seeing them only as a sexual object,
- Sexual violation,
- Preventing them from working or having them work in order to exploit them and take their money,
- Telling them that they are incapable or less capable of doing things than men,
- Preventing them from accessing certain positions or jobs because they are women,
- Being fired from their jobs or restricted because they are mothers of young children,
- Undervaluing them because of their gender,
- Femicide or murder of women.
Other manifestations have been stigmatized in society and are accepted as normal using artistic manifestations to achieve certain success, so we see in music, for example, a permanent invitation to see women as sexual animals, trivializing this important social being and degrading music. Other examples can be seen in some works of plastic arts or literature that, beyond transcending, leave much to be desired from these pseudo artists.
How can we avoid these manifestations?
There are several actions that can be taken at the family, social and State level to prevent and stop the mistreatment of the only being capable of engendering life. For example, I can think of the following:
- Intensify from education the respect for women and highlight the idea of equal rights for all human beings,
- That women receive the same salaries as men for doing the same jobs,
- That women who bring children into the world be protected in the workplace, with pensions until the children are at least one year old,
- That the law criminalize the mistreatment of women.
- Produce audiovisual programs on the protection and support of women.
- Conduct communication campaigns against violence against women and support for women's rights.
A final comment
Society will never be able to advance if it does not manage to eliminate all types of abuse and, among them, the one that is carried out against our women and that, many times, begins since they are girls.
In this sense, education is an essential pillar to achieve this goal and to emphasize the idea that we are all equal, we have the same duties and rights and what must prevail is that talent is imposed from equal opportunities.
For this reason, when you are going to mistreat a woman, think that she is your mother, your sister or your daughter. Know that, in doing so, you are hurting life, reason and hope, which are feminine by nature and represent the beauty of life, and that is precisely what our women are.
