Hey guys.. မင်္ဂလာပါ..
This week Weekly Challenge!! theme is Dragons. Dragon is a special splinter in Splinterlands with the ability to combine with any splinter and my favorite being Drake of Arnak. In combination with Dragon summoner, I usually use Death splinter.

Summoner : Drake of Arnak

Drake of Arnak, my preferred choice for a combination with Death splinter, provides 1+ shield to all friendly monsters. Only weakness is against Earth splinter with magic cards.

First Position : CURSED WINDEKU

*Cursed Windeku* is a thorny creature, which means in a closed up attack, you can't hit it without getting scratches. Even dying, it is still a night mare for the low health opportunist monsters who look for the lowest health. With the speed of 3, it has decent speed and hit the target most of the time.

Second Position : CHAOS AGENT

You might see it as useless monster, but chaos agent is very useful for protecting range and magic cards from *snipers*, it is also useful in protecting valuable low health monsters from the opportunists. It's ideal position is right in front of range or magic cards.

Third Position : LIFE SAPPER

At mana cost 3, there is no magic monster that can match the ability of *Life Sapper* in the low league battles. Besides, its *Life Leech* ability makes it stronger every time it damage the enemy. Its strategic position for me is right behind the *Chaos Agent* and before *Death Elemental*. As it get stronger by damaging enemy, after enemy sniper knocked out *Chaos Agent*, it may be strong enough to withstand from most of the enemy snipers. In that way, it protects the *Death Elemental* behind it.

Forth Position : DEATH ELEMENTAL

One of my preferred choice for 'Death' splinter for its ability to look beyond melee cards. With its relative good speed, it could eliminate some important cards in the early rounds with the snipe ability. Being a magic unit, it is also a target for the snipers from the other side. Make sure you have cover for it.

Fifth Position : UNDEAD BADGER

For me, when I play 'Death' splinter, sneaker cards are a must. Due to its low health, it could be a target for opportunity monsters that you need to place 1 mana monsters as a cover. Summoner's shield is very important for it as well.

Last Position : SILENT SHA-VI

When you use sneakers in your line-up, one may not be enough. 'SilentSha-vi' is a strong back-line card. Two sneakers and one or two opportunity monster could give a result you want.

The battle was 24 mana capped match against Death splinter without any rule sets.

Let's get started

screen_shot_2022_05_05_at_16.02.19.png

My opponent line-up consisted of a thorny tank, a sniper, 2 sneakers and 1 range unit with 2 attacks total of 23 mana. Without Chaos Agent in front of Death Elemental, the enemy sniper was more exposed. As the battle started, all my teammates got a shield from the summoner. Enemy summoner reduce the health of my monsters by one if the health point is 2 or more. The magic reduce didn't effect my monsters as their attack was already lowest.

Round 1

Both Cursed Windeku were reduced to 4 hit points, my Life Sapper regain the health as the Chaos Agent covered it. My Death Elemental was safe and done one damage to the enemy's Death Elemental. Both Silent Sha-vis were severely damaged.

Round 2

In round 2, my Death Elemental attacked first and killed the other Death Elemental, both Cursed Windeku killed each others so that my Life Sapper and enemy Undead Badger got to the first place. My Silent Sha-vi was attacked by the other one and left with 1 health that it could retaliate back and knocked it out. Enemy Undead Badger in the first place damaged Life Sapper's shield. My own Undead Badger did 1 damage to the enemy Soul Strangler. As my Life Sapper killed the Undead Badger, enemy Soul Strangler with range came to the first and the game was all but over.

Round 3

Just one attack from Death Elemental was enough to finish the battle.

**Did my strategy work?* I think my strategy of placing *Chaos Agent* as a cover paid off. It protected the weaken *Life Sapper*. Having *Life Sapper* in front of *Death Elemental* may be important as well. Although we both used 2 sneakers, having a shield gave a better chance.

Do I like Dragons
I think Dragon's ability to be able to combine with any splinter is a good thing for we have more choices of monsters both Dragon and the monsters from the combining splinter as well as natural cards.
