Greetings friends lovers of manual arts! I welcome you to my DC DIY workshop, we start the year with new projects. Today I bring you the third piece of the Holozing mug collection, this time it is dedicated to my favorite character the Grass Raccoon. Join me to see the creative process.

¡Saludos amigos amantes de las artes manuales! Les doy la bienvenida a mi taller Bricolaje DC, comenzamos el año con nuevos proyectos. Hoy les traigo la tercera pieza de la colección de tazas de Holozing, esta vez es dedicada a mi personaje favorito el Mapache de hierba. Acompáñame a ver el proceso creativo.

Materials

For this project we will use:

Clear glass coffee cup
70 grams of cold porcelain dough
Watercolor in skin color, apple green, dark green, and olive green
Glue
Gold-colored acrylic paint
Shaping cups
1 pin
Resin
Scissors
White sheet
Pencil
2 shiny costume jewelry stones

Materiales

Para este proyecto utilizaremos:

Taza para café de cristal transparente
70 gramos de masa de porcelana fría
Acuarela de color piel, verde manzana, verde oscuro y verde oliva
Pegamento
Pintura acrílica color dorado
Estecas para moldear
1 alfiler
Resina
Tijera
Hoja blanca
Lápiz
2 piedras brillantes de bisutería

We start by drawing our character on the white sheet. Measuring the cup so that there is neither too much nor too little space.

Comenzamos haciendo el dibujo de nuestro personaje en la hoja blanca. Midiendo la taza para que ni sobre ni falte espacio.

As they are flat figures we can make one by one the pieces of the drawing and assemble them.

The first thing we will do will be the pieces that need to harden to embed them in other pieces, such as the eyes and hands.

Como son figuras planas podemos hacer una a una las piezas del dibujo e ir ensamblando.

Lo primero que haremos seran las piezas que necesitan endurecer para incrustarlas en otras piezas, como los ojos y las manos.

The colors of our character's body will be 2 different shades of green.

Los colores del cuerpo de nuestro personaje serán 2 tonos diferentes de verde.

Each green colored part I gave fur texture with the pin.

Cada parte de color verde le di textura de pelaje con el alfiler.

Little by little the Raccoon took shape and finally I glued it on the cup.

Poco a poco fue tomando forma el Mapache y finalmente lo pegué sobre la taza.

The part I enjoyed doing the most was the tail and the forehead leaf. It's the hallmark of this character and that's why it's my favorite.

La parte que más disfruté hacer fue la cola y la hoja de la frente. Es el sello de este personaje y por eso es mi favorito.

We added details such as an antiquing with black and gold color on the edges of the suit. I made some small leaves to go with the grass Raccoon.

Agregamos detalles como un envejecido con color negro y dorado en los bordes del traje. Yo hice unas pequeñas hojas que acompañan al Mapache de hierba.

To finish and protect the piece, we apply a layer of resin, let it air dry for 8 hours. And our cup is ready.

Para finalizar y proteger la pieza, aplicamos una capa de resina, dejamos secar al aire por 8 horas. Y está lista nuestra taza.
