On a green leaf still wet from last night's rain, a tiger palmfly butterfly was resting. Raindrops could be seen still clinging to its body. Usually, when I find a butterfly, I immediately smile with joy, because I can see its extraordinary beauty. But today, I didn't feel that way. I felt sad today seeing this butterfly's condition.
The butterfly looked very weak, and both of its wings were stuck to the leaf's surface. It tried to flap its wings several times but failed, seemingly exhausted by the heavy rain and strong winds last night. Judging by its current condition, it most likely failed to find shelter during the downpour. Or perhaps it was swept away by the strong winds. The tips of its wings also appeared to be broken.
But thankfully, it was still breathing. I only hoped that the sun would shine soon so this butterfly could bask in the sun to increase its body temperature. If the sun didn't shine all day, it likely wouldn't survive, considering that it was already very weak and there were no flowers nearby that could provide a food source.
