Greetings to all, fellow creatives. I recently resumed this cool series I've been running called Challenge to Gabo, where I invite you to challenge me to make a figure or a sculpture.
I recently received a challenge from @soldierofdreams, where he challenged me to make Jake from adventure time.

Saludos a todos, compañeros creativos. Hace poco retomé esta serie tan genial que he estado llevando titulada Challenge to Gabo, en donde los invito a retarme a hacer alguna figura o una escultura.
Recientemente recibí un reto de @soldierofdreams, donde me retaba a hacer a Jake de hora de aventura.

I must confess that I found the challenge interesting because I had never made the character but I got to work. I present to you the figurine that came out of this challenge.
Debo confesar que me pareció interesante el reto porque nunca había hecho el personaje pero puse manos a la obra. Les presento pues, la figurita que salió de este reto.
As I usually do, I will tell you about the materials. Although I usually use wire for my figures, I won't use it for this one. Only plasticine, polystyrene and wooden sticks. As tools, a blade, knitting and sewing needle and silicone to glue some pieces.
Como acostumbro a hacer, les comentaré los materiales. Aunque suelo usar alambre para mis figuras, para esta no lo usaré. Solamente plastilina, poliestireno y palillos de madera. Como herramientas, una hojilla, aguja de tejer y coser y silicón para pegar algunas piezas.
If I will not use wire, what will be the support for the figure? Well, just the polystyrene and the wooden sticks.
Below you can see some pieces of polystyrene that will serve as a base for a table and for Jake's body, which I will make in Chibi mode, with his mythical Sandwich.
Si no usaré alambre, ¿cual será el soporte de la figura? Pues solo el poliestireno y los palillos de madera.
A continuación pueden ver unos trozos de poliestireno que servirán de base para un mesón y para el cuerpo de Jake, al cual haré en modo Chibi, con su mítico Sandwich.

Well, to start we must create a piece of polystyrene with a cylindrical shape for the body of the character. This cylinder must be covered with plasticine, I used one of the same color of the character, so as not to paint it later.
Bien, para comenzar debemos crear un trozo de poliestireno con forma cilíndrica para el cuerpo del personaje. Este cilindro se le debe cubrir con plastilina, usé una del mismo color del personaje, para no pintarlo después.

This is what the cylinder looks like once it has been covered with plasticine and all the material has been smoothed, molding it to the desired shape.
Así queda el cilindro una vez que se ha cubierto con plastilina y se ha alisado todo el material, moldeandolo hasta lograr la forma deseada.
Next are the little ears. To make them, simply make two plasticine spheres of the same color and pinch them at one end and flatten them to give them that ear-like effect. Each one is placed on the sides of the head and that's it.
Lo siguiente son las orejitas. Para hacerlas simplemente se hacen dos esferas de plastilina del mismo color y se pellizcan en un extremo y se aplastan, para darle ese efecto parecido a orejas. Cada una se coloca a los lados de la cabeza y listo.

Below, in the image on the left, you can see all the other parts of the character:
2 Arms, which are simply two pointed cylinders at one end; the feet two elongated triangles and the mouth a bent cylinder with a sphere in the center.
Each and every one of these pieces is put in place and the body of the character is ready, as you can see in the photo on the right.
A continuación, en la imagen de la izquierda, pueden ver todas las otras partes del personaje:
2 Brazos, que simplemente son dos cilindros puntiagudos en un extremo; los pies dos triángulos alargados y la boca un cilindro doblado con una esfera en el centro.
Todas y cada una de estas piezas se colocan en su lugar y así queda listo el cuerpo del personaje, como pueden ver en la foto de la derecha.

The last thing I did with the character was to place two flattened spheres for the eyes and the black nose. This way Jake was ready as such; however, I wanted to do something to give a nicer touch to the diorama.
Lo último que hice con el personaje fue colocar dos esferas aplastadas para los ojos y la nariz negra. Así quedó listo Jake como tal; sin embargo, quise hacer algo para darle un toque más bonito al diorama.
Well, I painted the piece of polystyrene I showed you at the beginning with black paint. This will be a sort of countertop where I will place Jake's Sandwich.
Since it is a countertop, I painted the top with brown paint, so that it would be like a wooden surface.
¿Qué hice? Pues bien, el trozo de poliestireno que les mostré al comienzo lo pinté con pintura negra. Esto será una suerte de mesón en donde colocaré el Sandwich de Jake.
Como es un mesón, la parte superior la pinté con pintura marrón, para que fuese como una superficie de madera.

To make the sandwich, I made all these ingredients with play dough, as it should be. Jake's sandwich is made with a huge loaf of bread; it has pickles, boiled egg, chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, onion, a beefsteak and bacon.
I made each and every one of these ingredients, you can see them in the image below:
Para hacer el Sandwich pues hice todos estos ingredientes con plastilina, como debe ser. El Sandwich de Jake está hecho con un pan enorme; lleva pepinillos, huevo hervido, pechuga de pollo, pepino, tomate, cebolla, un bistéc y tocino.
Todos y cada uno de estos ingredientes los hice, los pueden ver en la imagen a continuación:
As if it were a real sandwich, I assembled it layer by layer. Below I show you a step by step assembly of this Plasticine Sandwich:
Como si fuese un Sandwich real, lo armé capa por capa. A continuación les muestro un paso a paso del armado de este Sandwich de plastilina:
After assembling it, I put a toothpick and an olive to decorate it and fix it on the polystyrene table.
Jake was also attached to the base using another toothpick and that was it, the figurine was finished. Below you can see a series of pictures of the final result.
Después de armarlo le coloqué un palillo y una aceituna para adornarlo y fijarlo en el mesón de poliestireno.
A Jake también lo fijé en la base usando otro palillo y listo, la figurita quedó terminada. A continuación pueden ver una serie de fotografías del resultado final.
