Now I just need to add the decorative details to the backpack.
Yesterday, I went to visit a friend and while doing the routine cleaning in her house, she found a bag with scraps of fabric, the colors were very pretty and vibrant, she decided to take advantage of them to make some flowers and decorate the towels and curtains in her room, the flowers are made from a square, it is the first time I see this type of flowers and I liked it, my friend after cleaning, organized the fabrics cut, several squares and began to make them when I got to her house she already had several ready and I liked how the flowers looked, I asked her to explain to me how it is done and in a few minutes we had already made several flowers, this project is ideal to reuse the leftover fabric that we have at home and decorate the different spaces of the home, in addition you can sew it by hand if you do not have a machine, it is a simple and very useful project to beautify the house, I invite you to join me in the process of elaboration.
Hola amigos artesanos y comunidad @Hivedy, es un placer saludarles deseando que tengan un excelente y bendecido d铆a; he comentado en varias publicaciones que estoy aprovechando las vacaciones escolares de mi hijo para terminar algunos proyectos de costura como el morral, lonchera cartuchera, entre otros, ya solo me falta agregar los detalles decorativos del morral.
El d铆a de ayer, fui a visitar a una amiga y mientras realizaba la limpieza rutinaria en su casa, encontr贸 una bolsa con retazos de tela, los colores eran muy bonitos y vibrantes, decidi贸 aprovecharlos para hacer unas flores y decorar las toallas y cortinas de su habitaci贸n, las flores se realizan a partir de un cuadrado, es la primera vez que veo este tipo de flores y me gust贸, mi amiga luego de limpiar, organiz贸 las telas cort贸, varios cuadrados e inici贸 su elaboraci贸n cuando llegu茅 a su casa ya ten铆a varias listas y me gust贸 c贸mo se ve铆an las flores, le ped铆 que me explicara c贸mo se hace y en pocos minutos ya hab铆amos hecho varias flores, este proyecto es ideal para reutilizar los sobrantes de tela que tenemos en casa y decorar los diferentes espacios del hogar, adem谩s se puede coser a mano si no dispone de una m谩quina, es un proyecto sencillo y muy 煤til para embellecer la casa, les invito me acompa帽en en el proceso de elaboraci贸n.

Elaboration
The first step to making the flowers is to cut three squares. I used two sizes for the squares: the small ones were 12 x 12 centimeters and the large ones were 19 x 19 centimeters. These will be used to form the petals. For the base of the flower, I cut two pieces in green, taking the same measurements as the petal squares.

Once I cut the squares, I folded them in half, then made another fold, pinned them, and hand-stitched the bottom edge. Then I gathered the fabric and cut the remaining thread. This is how the petals are assembled.

Next, I placed the petals on the green square, ensuring they were in the center. I pinned them and sewed them with a straight stitch. I cut off the excess fabric and folded the square so that it covered the base of the petals, forming a triangle. I sewed them with a straight stitch and trimmed the excess fabric.

By removing the excess fabric, we are left with the base of the flower in the shape of a triangle. Here, I sewed with a straight stitch on both sides and placed the cord in the center. It is important that the cord is in the bottom corner of the triangle for ease when sewing. I pinned the right sides of the fabrics together and sewed from the top edge to the bottom, overlaying the cord. I removed the excess fabric and, pulling the cord, turned the piece over. With these simple steps, two beautiful decorative flowers are finished.
Al retirar el exceso de tela nos queda la base de la flor en forma de un tri谩ngulo, aqu铆 pas茅 costura con puntada recta por ambos lados y coloqu茅 el cord贸n en el centro, es importante que el cord贸n quede en la esquina inferior de tri谩ngulo para mayor facilidad al momento de coser, sujet茅 con alfileres enfrent茅 los derechos de las telas y pas茅 una costura desde el borde superior hasta el inferior repisando el cord贸n, retir茅 el sobrante de tela y halando el cord贸n volte茅 la pieza, con estos sencillos pasos est谩n terminadas dos hermosas flores decorativas.
We can make these flowers using scraps we have at home. They are an excellent option for beautifying the home, giving as gifts, or for crafts with the little ones in the house or for occupational therapy.
