Today, I want to share with you all the procedures I used in making this crotchet summer sun earrings for myself ❤️
I came across this summer sun earrings on my YouTube and I liked it , and since then I have had interest in owning one for myself
So this time, I decided to make one for myself using a yellow colour to compliment the style and luckily for me, It came out exactly as I wanted with all shades complete.
Let's proceed to the materials and steps I used in making these summer sun ☀️ earrings
The materials were:
- Yellow colour wool
- knitting pin
- scissors ✂️ ✂️ ✂️
- Earring jump ring etc
- yellow beads
And these are the processes:
Firstly I rolled my wool around my index finger so that it will make it easier for me to access the wool while crotcheting
I then picked up my knitting pin and started working with it, I made a slit knot and then I knitted 13 chains for a start
I then made a slip stitch into the first chain and then with that I achieved a ring out of it
For the first chain, I made a single crotchet in the ring
I continued with making a single crotchet through out the ring and that extended the ring a big, I was headed somewhere
From where the slit knot was , I knitted a total of 6 chains
And then I made one double crochet into the same space I had made chains from
And then I skipped the next stitch and inserted it into the stich following and then made a double crotchet in it
After making the double crotchet, I made two chains
I then inserted my fishing line into the same hole and then still made a double crochet in it
After then , I skipped one hole like I previously did and inserted it in the next whole and did a double crotchet
After which I made 2 chains
I then inserted my knitting pin into the same hole and then did a double crochet
I continued with those process till I went round the ring I had made
At this point I made visible holes in the ring and then I started working with the holes
I inserted my knitting pin into the first hole that was closest and made a single crotchet
And Inside the same hole, I made a doubled crotchet
And then I ended it with a single crotchet. These steps helped in creating a pointed shape
I skipped the next hole and inserted it in the next, I did a single crotchet, a doubled crotchet and then a single crochet again
That's how I continued till I went round
I repeated the steps in the holes till I got to the end
I cut out the tail wool
And then I cut another wool that was going to aid me when I'm inserted the beads and earrings jumper
I looked for a suitable point and inserted the wool in it
I picked one of my yellow bead and inserted it in the wool
And then I picked my earrings jumper and inserted it in the same wool and cut out the tail thread
And I was done with the first earring
I then proceeded to the second one
I did the necessary steps like I did in the first earring till I achieved it complete
Finally, I was able to complete my pair of earrings, I was excited it turned out exactly as I wanted it to
This is what it looked like on me when I wore it
