In my pictures you see a lizard of the stellagama species, or starred agama, or roughtail rock agama of the Agamidae family. This species of lizard is predominantly found in Southeastern Europe and the Middle East. Stellagama is a fairly large lizard reaching a length of 30 centimeters. They live mainly in rocks using crevices and cavities in the stones as shelters. Like most other lizard species, stellagama is no stranger to sunbathing, and at this time it is easiest to catch them in the lens of a camera.

На моих фотографиях вы видите ящерицу вида стеллион, или агама-гардун, семейства агамовых. Этот вид ящериц преимущественно распространён в Юго-Восточной Европе и странах Ближнего Востока. Стеллион довольно крупная ящерица, достигающие в длину 30 сантиметров. Обитают они, главным образом, в скалах, используя в качестве убежищ расщелины и полости в камнях. Как и большинство других видов ящериц, стеллиону не чуждо принятие солнечных ванн, и в это время их проще всего ловить в объектив фотоаппарата.
These pictures I took in the Troodos mountains in Cyprus, and they are among my first photos of lizards. I used a 300mm lens for shooting. Hope you liked my pictures. Thank you!
