  Na minha opinião, como alguém que está vivendo longe do país, a coisa que mais sinto falta e não consigo encontrar em nenhum lugar é o "pão francês". Aqui na América do Norte, eles têm uma baguete francesa, mas é uma coisa totalmente diferente. É um pão pequeno semelhante a uma pequena baguete. Encontrei em um lugar italiano algo parecido chamado "Torpedo bun". Mas ainda não é a mesma coisa. É um pãozinho cilíndrico. A origem ainda é um mistério, mas há algumas teorias que encontrei na Wikipedia, e a maioria delas é baseada em padarias brasileiras tentando replicar a baguete. Talvez seja por isso o nome, apesar de não ser francês. É um pão encontrado em todas as regiões do país, mas com nomes diferentes, e o nome mais engraçado é "Cacetinho" no Sul, que em inglês seria algo como "little dick".

  Hello, welcome to the second edition of the HiveBR weekly contest. A community focused on Brazilians in the blockchain and also with a discord server. Everyone is invited to join the community discord using the banner below.

  This contest aims to generate engagement within our Brazilian community and also bring some people abroad who also enjoy our country in different ways. Brazil is a big country in South America, the biggest Portuguese-speaking country, and 5th in the world. It is well known for being the source of great football players in the world, but its economy is also important overall. The regions within the country are very heterogeneous and you can find small deserts, Caribbean-like beaches, forests, and big-density cities. So it is a pleasure to see posts from other people in the world who would like to study and write about this magnificent country that sometimes gets a little bit mistreated by politicians.

  Last contest we had only one submission from @shiftrox. So he won by being the only competitor and I decided to raise the prize to 5 HSBI. My liquid reward on that post was 2.142 HBD ( half in HBD and half in HP). Like I promised I converted 0.64 HBD (30%) to Hive which gave me 2.094 Hive that day. However, I powered up @Hive-br with 2.904 HP ( I got confused with the numbers so in the end my donation was 44% of my rewards hehe).

  In his post , @shiftrox said of how much he would like to live in Gramado, a city in the South of Brazil and different from the rest of the country, it has more Temperate climate. That means more regulated and distinct seasons. The city can get even snow in the winter which made him wished to live there since he never saw snow in his life. In addition, the city was colonized by Europeans and it has some architecture that resembles a small European city.

  I will try again to see if there is more engagement in this post. The award for this contest will be 5 HIVESBI donated by @gwajnberg for the best post. When we talk about a country, we think about its culture, so we can't forget about the cuisine of the country as well. However, Brazil is big and has different regions with different foods. Which region of the country has a food that you tried or want to try. Which food is that ? Why you love it or you want to try it so bad?

  In my point of view from someone that is living far from the country, my favorite thing that I miss and can't find anywhere is the "french bread". Here in North America they have a French loaf, but it is totally different thing. It is a small bread similar to a small baguette, I found in one Italian place something similar called a "Torpedo bun". But it is still not the same. It is a cylindrical bread roll. The origin is still a mystery but there are some theories that I found on Wikipedia, and most of them are based in Brazilian bakeries trying to replicate the baguette. Maybe that's why of the name despite of not being French. It is bread found in all regions of the country but with different names, but the funniest name is "Cacetinho" in the South which in English would be like "little dick".
