I believe sunset is that instant when the day, tired of its own light, surrenders without reservation to the embrace of the water, unhurried and in silence.
Perhaps the dusk is not aware of its power to wash away wounds with salt and leave us in stillness, because it does not represent an end, but rather the art of letting go of the day like releasing a sail to the wind. And in that surrender, the sea gives us back the peace we didn't know we had lost.
