Elvira: Haunted Hills is a 2001 American comedy horror film starring Cassandra Peterson as Elvira, a horror hostess who inherits a haunted castle in Transylvania. The film is a parody of classic horror films, such as those produced by Hammer Film Productions and Roger Corman.
In the film, Elvira and her maid Zouzou (Mary Jo Smith) are on their way to Paris when they are stranded in the Carpathian Mountains. They are taken in by Lord Vladimere Hellsubus (Scott Atkinson), who is the owner of Castle Hellsubus. Elvira soon discovers that the castle is haunted by the ghost of Vladimere's wife, who bears a striking resemblance to Elvira.
Elvira must also contend with Vladimere's scheming cousin, Count Dracula (Richard O'Brien), who is determined to get his hands on the castle's hidden treasure.
Elvira: Haunted Hills is a fun and campy film that is full of laughs and scares. The film is a love letter to classic horror films, and it is sure to please fans of the genre.
In addition to the aforementioned plot elements, the film also features a number of memorable characters, such as:
- Vincent Price's (uncredited) voice as the Crypt Keeper
- Michael Hurst as Dr. Bradley Bradley
- Gabi Andronache as Adrian
