Sickness as though struck by lightning. Instant and uncompromising

I got sick... very sick... So sick that my wife was ready to take me to hospital at 2am in the morning!

I had a fever, over 40C once, we brought it down and then it happened again.

Wednesday night I was feeling a little fuzzy and that evening I did not have a good time. Migraine. Fever. Chills. Body Aches. Dizziness. Nausea.

I then went to work, because we had a project starting up that I am involved with. I still posted on Wednesday night but Thursday morning I did not feel like sitting before my PC.

I ended up staying longer than I intended at work, big mistake. I got the chills at work and put my AC on full heating but it did nothing to heat me up, meanwhile the ladies in the office were being cooked out.

I only left at 2pm and got into a boiling hot car that was way hotter than the office. I slept a bit, without driving home.

I then drove home and parked the car and slept some more.

I went inside later, @clairemobey was surprised that I have not come inside. I was going after the heat. Probably a fake response, because i was probably having a fever.

I then went inside and slept. Woke up and had a bath. Fell asleep running the bath and flooded the bathroom!

I then went to sleep and had the worst night I have had in living memory. Usually traumatic experiences recede a bit. But I don't remember ever being so horrendously ill before.

One moment hot, with a blasting fever. The next moment feeling like I am freezing and shivering, shaking the whole bed. We too my medication, took my blood pressure and temperature... high fever. Over 40C

Claire threatened to take me to hospital. I was worried about the cost, since my medical aid savings are depleated. She was worried about me dying.

This... was not a pleasant experience...

I am not 100% better yet... but I had to come down and eat something and take more meds. I shall likely go back to sleep soon...

Fingers crossed that I get better by Monday.
