Greetings ecency community! I welcome you to this post that I quickly wanted to share with you since while I was walking through the center of Caracas testing my camera, I had the opportunity to visit the interior of the Federal Legislative Palace. These are opportunities that rarely happen in Caracas, so join me to visit its spaces!

Les doy la bienvenida a este post que rápidamente he querido compartir con ustedes ya que mientras caminaba por el centro de Caracas probando mi cámara, tuve la oportunidad de visitar el interior del Palacio Federal Legislativo. Estas son oportunidades que pocas veces se dan en Caracas, así que acompáñame a visitar sus espacios!
If you have read some of my posts where I talk about certain parts of the city of Caracas, you will know that I am passionate about history and this particular building has a lot of history behind it! It was built by Antonio Guzmán Blanco (president of Venezuela at the end of the 19th century) in 1872 and finished in 1877, that's right, we are talking about the full Victorian era or as this president liked to say, the Belle Époque because of the eternal love he had for the City of Paris and that he wanted to emulate in the City of Caracas.
Si han leido algunos de mis post donde hablo de ciertas partes de la ciudad de Caracas, sabrán que soy un apasionado de la historia y este edificio en particular tiene mucha historia detrás! Fue mandado a construir por Antonio Guzmán Blanco (presidente de Venezuela a finales del siglo XIX) en 1872 y finalizado en 1877, así es, estamos hablando de plena época victoriana o como le gustaba decir a este presidente la Belle Époque por el eterno amor que le tenía a la Ciudad de París y que quiso emular en la Ciudad de Caracas.

In this context, I was excited when I saw that the Federal Palace had opened its doors and I didn't think twice about getting my camera ready and, although it was a rather quick visit due to the large number of people present, I took as many photos as possible. The interior maintains that classic air of the late 19th century, trying to maintain the historical value of this structure as the seat of legislative power in Venezuela.
En este contexto me emocioné cuando vi que abrieron los espacios del Palacio Federal y no lo pensé dos veces preparé mi cámara y aunque fue una visita bastante rápida por la gran cantidad de personas presentes tomé todas las fotografías posibles. El interior mantiene ese aire clásico de finales del siglo XIX tratando de mantener el valor histórico de esta estructura como asiento del poder legislativo en Venezuela.

One of the photos I wanted to take was the one in the first image below: "El Paso de los Andes" was one of the most important moments of the libertarian movement in South America, when Bolivar, in an apparent act of madness but of brilliance, crossed the steep mountains of the Andes, finally achieving the independence of New Granada.
Una de las fotografías que deseaba tomar era justo la del cuadro en la primera imagen de abajo: "El Paso de los Andes" fue uno de los momentos más importantes del movimiento libertario de América del Sur, cuando Bolívar en un aparente acto de locura sino de brillantez cruza las escarpadas montañas de los Andes logrando al final la independencia de la Nueva Granada.
The last 2 images are a painting of the 1st constituent congress of Venezuela held in the City of Angostura, Guayana, which would be the first step in the formation of La Gran Colombia. The importance of this work here speaks volumes of the spirit that the walls of this palace harbor, the dream of a Great Nation of the Spanish-speaking South.
Las últimas 2 imágenes son una pintura del 1er congreso constituyente de Venezuela realizado en la Ciudad de Angostura, Guayana lo que sería el primer paso para formación de La Gran Colombia. La importancia de esta obra aquí habla mucho del espíritu que alberga las paredes de este palacio, el sueño de una Gran Nación del Sur hispanohablante.
My last photos were for the great detail that the palace had, from the chandeliers, the windows, the paintings, in a few words, entering here was like traveling to another time. My last photograph was for the skylight of the dome of the palace and thus I fulfilled my visit to one of the 3 historical sites that I have yet to visit, the other 2 are: Angostura where the 1st Constituent Congress was held and the second would be to visit Urica, the place where the Leader of the Infernal Legion, José Tomás Boves, fell in battle.
Mis últimas fotos fueron para el gran detalle que tenía el palacio, desde los candelabros, las ventanas, los cuadros, en pocas palabras entrar aquí era como viajar a otro tiempo. Mi última fotografía fue para el tragaluz de la cúpula del palacio y así cumplí con visitar uno de los 3 sitios históricos que me faltan por visitar, los otros 2 son: Angostura donde se celebro el 1er Congreso Constituyente y el segundo sería visitar Urica lugar donde cayó en batalla el Caudillo de la Legión Infernal, José Tomás Boves.
