Uno de mis pasatiempos predilecto es ver películas.Aunque tengo un buen tiempo sin ir al cine. Sin embargo, en el cable o en internet puedo disfrutar no solo de algunas recientes sino de aquellas que se han convertido en mis favoritas. Por eso no dudé ni un segundo en participar en el Contest #203 de esta linda comunidad.
Les confieso que me costó un montón seleccionar ese top tres, porque en realidad me gustan muchas, desde dibujos animados hasta pelis de terror. Pero ciertamente tengo especial debilidad por las basadas en historias reales, eso me ayudó a elegir un par y la tercera aunque no corresponde a hechos reales, es una película con un mensaje maravilloso.
Amigos Intocables (Untouchable): Es una película francesa basada en hechos reales. Cuenta la historia de un jovén de clase trabajadora con problemas de conducta y familiares que llega a trabajar, sin experiencia alguna por cierto, a casa de un hombre muy adinerado pero cuadrapléjico. Lo hermoso de la historia es la empatía que se desarrolla entre ambos, una conexión que va más allá del dinero y las clases sociales, de dos personas con carencias, pero también con mucho que dar, principalmente la amistad.
Un Largo Camino a Casa (Lion): Este film es para llorar y reflexionar. Narra la historia real de un empresario australiano de origen indio, quien se perdió a los cinco años en una estación de tren de la India y debido a que no conocía el idioma, de los varios que hay en ese país, no pudo comunicarse y regresar a casa, por lo cual fue dado en adopción a una pareja australiana.
Mientras estudiaba en la Universidad en Australia, comenzó a recordar pasajes de su infancia. Comenzando así, una búsqueda casi imposible que lo llevaría a dar con su lugar de nacimiento y a reencontrarse con su madre biológica. Una historia triste pero hermosa a la vez, que además expone una dura realidad que viven los niños más pobres en la India, el extravío de miles de ellos cada año.
Capitán Fantástico (Captain Fantastic): Esta es otra historia hermosa sobre la familia. Se trata de un padre junto a sus hijos emprende un viaje para cumplir la última voluntad de su esposa fallecida recientemente. Me encanta todo, aunque es un argumento muy loco porque los padres han criado a sus hijos bajo una educación en casa, con mucha cultura, sin acceso a juegos de video o al consumismo propio de la sociedad actual, un estilo muy antisistema, muy hippie.
Amé la actuación de Viggo Mortensen, la empatía que transmiten las actuaciones de los niños con él, las referencias a Noam Chomsky y por supuesto el tema que cantan, Sweet Child of mine de Guns N´ Roses.
La lista de mis películas favoritas es extensa pero creo que estas son perfectas para verlas en casa, en familia o sola. Y si ya las han visto me gustaría conocer sus opiniones sobre ellas.

One of my favorite hobbies is watching movies. Although I haven't been to the cinema for a while. However, on cable or on the internet I can enjoy not only some recent ones but those that have become my favorites. That's why I didn't hesitate for a second to participate in Contest #203 of this lovely community.
I confess that it was very difficult for me to select that top three, because I really like many, from cartoons to horror movies. But I certainly have a special weakness for those based on true stories, that helped me choose a couple and the third one, although it doesn't correspond to real events, is a movie with a wonderful message.
Untouchable: It's a French movie based on real events. It tells the story of a young working-class man with behavioral and family problems who goes to work, without any experience by the way, at the home of a very wealthy but quadriplegic man. The beautiful thing about the story is the empathy that develops between them, a connection that goes beyond money and social classes, between two people with shortcomings, but also with a lot to give, mainly friendship.
The Way Home (Lion): This film is for crying and reflecting. It tells the true story of an Australian businessman of Indian origin, who got lost at the age of five in a train station in India and because he did not know the language, of the several that there are in that country, he could not communicate and return home, so he was given up for adoption to an Australian couple.
While he was studying at the University in Australia, he began to remember passages from his childhood. Thus beginning an almost impossible search that would lead him to find his birthplace and to meet his biological mother again. A sad but beautiful story at the same time, which also exposes a harsh reality that the poorest children in India live, the loss of thousands of them every year.
Captain Fantastic: This is another beautiful story about family. It's about a father and his children who embark on a journey to fulfill the last wish of his recently deceased wife. I love everything, although it's a very crazy plot because the parents have raised their children under a home education, with a lot of culture, without access to video games or the consumerism typical of today's society, a very anti-system, very hippie style.
I loved Viggo Mortensen's performance, the empathy that the children's performances convey with him, the references to Noam Chomsky and of course the song they sing, Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N' Roses.
