I always love to participate in the Ladies of Hive contests! This weeks' choice was:

What I ALWAYS carry
So anyone that knows me knows I am a big book fanatic. I love reading and I like to find cheap books at the second hand to expand on my collection. If you come to my house you will find my book case is the center of attention.
And if you also know me you will also know that I am always early for everything as I am terrified of being late. This means I often have to wait for other people to get to places.
These two things combined means that I always carry a book with me. I usually have a normal reading book at home and then an 'on the road book' for reading when I have to wait somewhere.
Book Wherever I go
I find books are good for when you have to wait, but also if you take a train. Plus it turns out you always have an interesting thing to talk to people about when you carry a book with you.
The downside is most books are not too happy with being stuffed into my bag and carried around everywhere. They usually suffer quite a bit, which is why I usually buy second hand ones. My latest find now looks like this after a week of being carried around:
I don't know how I did it, but I have managed to rip a part of the front off.
