The Sacrifice Are Enormous - LOH CONTEST #175

Hello beautiful ladies of @ladiesofhive and thanks to @nainaztengra for this week's prompt.

Being a responsible woman means that there are a lot of sacrifices you will make for the good of your family. I personally think women are wired to make countless sacrifices behind closed doors away from the spotlight that are indispensable to the well-being of their families.

As the first child of my parents, an elder sister, a wife, and a mother, I have made countless sacrifices that, till date, my family has no idea about. Here is a list of the few sacrifices I have made.

Emotional sacrifice: There were times that I was stressed, tired, and emotionally drained, and all I wanted at that moment was to be left alone on my own. Then either my parents, siblings, or husband come to me for comfort, empathy, and support, and I absorb all their stress, fears, and anxiety, providing them with comfort and a safe heaven, making them express their emotions freely, and letting them know that they are well understood.

Financial sacrifice: I have made a lot of financial sacrifices in my home. I have either bought a gift or given my last cent to my family without them knowing. I go all out to make sure they are all comfortable. For example, today my younger sister, who's serving the nation in another state, called and said she was having issues with the account she has money on and needs a little money for some running around tomorrow before she goes to rectify the problem. Though I didn't have the amount she needed, I transferred the last amount that was left in my account to her. She doesn't need to know that that was all I had. I had also done the same with my daughter and husband; most times, I sacrificed my own needs for them.

Health and well-being sacrifice: I have most often prioritized the health and well-being of my family members at the expense of my own health. There are times I stay up all night just looking after a sick family member.

Prayer sacrifice: I make sure I spend at least an hour every night praying for my family's well-being, protection, and preservation. They don't know about it, but I see it as one of my duties to them.

The list of things I have and still sacrifice for my family is enormous, and I am glad to be doing them.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗
