Have you ever traveled alone?
When asked this question, many of you will think that traveling alone is interesting and lonely. Before, I also thought that I would definitely never travel alone, wherever I go, I want to go with friends, eat together, take pictures together, travel together every weekend. However, after a few years when I started my freelance work, I started to have more free time for myself while all my friends were busy. And since then, I decided to start traveling alone.
How does it feel to travel alone? Here I will share my own opinions and feelings, you don't have to agree, but if you agree, I will be very happy haha
It's when sitting on the plane alone, alone looking at the clouds, thinking about the future, upcoming plans
I have a habit that when I go on a plane, I just like to sit next to the window. When the plane starts to take off, I will look out, the sky is then floating with clouds. I will take a notebook and a pen to write down my thoughts at that time, the plans that I want to do on this trip, endless in my own lines of emotions... I really like the feeling of being at peace. It gives me more motivation to do the things I love.
It is being able to freely explore somewhere, eat all the dishes you like, according to your own preferences.
Traveling in groups has the advantage that whether you go out to eat or go out, you will go with a lot of other people. Before going, or before going to eat, you will have to consult with each other, then make a decision. I don't hate traveling in groups, sometimes I like to travel with my friends to make good memories together. But sometimes I also want to go alone to create a private space for myself to do what I like, eat the food I love and moreover have space to comfortably create for my work.
Go to a coffee shop with beautiful garden and enjoy a yummy coffee !
When I don't want to go out, I will read a book by the pool or work in the room with a nice view or go to a coffee shop with beautiful garden. I enjoy every moment with my best friend and who knows me best- myself.
Because when I travel alone, I feel like I'm a queen of my own time. I don't have to get up very early and start the journey to many places according to the plan discussed with everyone before. Instead, I will go slowly, but feel as deeply and as passionate about my own agenda as possible.

It doesn't take too much time to focus on taking pictures with your friends, and too much time to share them with each other.
When traveling with a group of friends, we take a lot of time to take pictures of each other. We have dozens of pictures taken of each other in some touristic places. Then in the evening, they would share pictures with each other, edit photos.. When I went alone, because there was no one to take pictures for me anymore, I focused on enjoying the scenery there, sniffing. breathe fresh air. By evening, no one had asked to send photos through the group. That is one of the advantages of traveling alone. Plenty of time to enjoy your privacy and explore the city By the way you want.
That's when I seek inspiration and discover myself.
If you are a person who does not work for a company or an organization, you work for yourself, then solo travel, in a strange city, freedom alone to Exploration and inspiration is a great idea. I have found a lot of inspiration in every single trip.
I used to live in the foggy city of Da Lat, SaPa, Kontum (Vietnam) for a short time. I like the cold atmosphere of the mountains, I like the beautiful cafes here. That was also the time when I searched for the answer of who I am, and how I like to be. That's how I discovered myself.
Sometimes being alone can make all the difference !
Enjoyed a beautiful city night in Da lat city ❤️
It makes me more independent and strong:
You may not believe it, but traveling alone sometimes makes me more independent. I hadn't depended on anyone and had come up with a plan for what to do while in this city, meticulously calculating my expenses.
More than that, it helps me discover my own courage. Perhaps the times of finding the way when lost at night, the times of fear when sleeping alone in a homestay far from the city (the surroundings are so quiet that only the sound of mosquitoes can be heard), or the times when driving a bike alone up the passes without a person .... making me no longer weak or afraid.
A chance to make new friends
Traveling alone can sometimes be lonely, so I often talk to the host of the homestay or hostel where I go. Sometimes it is an opportunity for me to open up and make new friends. I made three friends on my three solo trips. And until now , they are still soul mates who share travel stories together !
Camping with the new friends.
Said enough. If you've never tried traveling alone, give it a go. It can be a lonely planet if you choose.
Much love !
