[LOH #139] My Dream Came True

Welcome To My Blog

Hello friends, happy weekend. Good to have you check out my blog once more. It's a good feeling to participate in the @ladiesofhive weekly prompt.
Thank you @irenenavarroart for bringing such wonderful topics.

We all have dreams, and even after making all efforts to make it work, some may be unfulfilled. Yeah! And that point, you don't have to kill yourself there will be greater plans in future.
Oftentimes when we have dreams, it may take patience and time before they are achieved. That's where consistency plays in. You shouldn't give up on your dream just because you failed.
Failure is part of the process in achieving your dream, if you fail at what you have to do it try again.

Ever since I was in secondary school I always wanted to be a medical doctor or study a medical inclined course. When I was done with secondary school, I wrote and passed in one sitting with A's and B's. I wrote my first Jamb to enter into a higher institution and had a very high score. Waiting for admission time, I wasn't given admission. That really made me depressed because many of my friends who finished secondary school with me have started getting admission. Not getting admission means another year at home.

After 1 year, I registered Jamb again **(Jamb is an exam you write to get admission into a higher institution in my country). My jamb score wasn't like the first but it was as good as getting a medical course. Then I waited, this time I was given admission but biology.
Biology is a science course and in no way related to the medical course I did.
It was another dilemma for me. Should I go and study this biology and switch over or I should write another jamb. It was really a hard time for me as I was spending money for registration of the exam, lessons.

I decided to leave the course and try writing jamb again. This time I felt maybe being a medical personal wasn't for me and I told myself if this didn't work I am sure going to venture into baking and cooking fully as a business. At this third time, I just decided to give it a last chance and after writing the exams I didn't really put much interest in it so I don't get heart broken like the previous times.
After the exams, result was out and I did well too, then it was time was admission, the first admission list was out and my name wasn't there meh I started becoming depressed again and still had hope with prayers then the second list came out and my name was there, not only that I was given the course of my choice. Medical laboratory science.
I couldn't contain my joy that day, I felt like the happiest person. After two trials, the third one did work.
The dream of studying a medical course came true something I thought would never work.
