In Appreciation Of Protecting And Defending Husbands

Yesterday night, my husband could not sleep very well. This was because he had to discipline himself to prepare for the New Month Service he was about officiating in the church this morning.

Every first day of the month, we usually gather together in the church to thank God for the outgoing month and commit the incoming month into God's hand. As christians, we take our dependence on God. We believe in His protection and provisions for our lives.

We used to attend this service in our Zonal Headquarters. Due to the routine reshovelling of pastors in the new mission year of our church, many pastors have been transferred from their previous duty stations. This arrangement affected our former Zonal Pastor. So, my husband, being a parish pastor, decided to incorporate the New Month Service into our church programs hence.

So, staying awake from the hour of 1 am in the night was what he did yesterday. I and the children were enjoying our sleep. There was heavy rain yesterday so sleeping was very interesting.

I was fast asleep when I heard the call from my husband. He tried to awaken me that someone had broken into our house. A thief attempted to break into our house. My husband, who was alert, woke up and the criminal ran away. I’m just happy that he was unable to do away with any of our properties.

We should always be appreciative of our husband's diligence and watchfulness in keeping our house safe. We know that God is the one who watches over us, but we appreciate the responsible attributes of our husbands who keep watch over us and our children. The thief would have caused harm to us yesterday night but my husband's effort (with the help of God) kept him away.
