I want to start this post with one question:
What is meant by feminism?
Feminism is an understanding that fights for freedom for women not to be exploited, not marginalized, and not used as objects of male violence.
This understanding is growing in the Western world and also the Muslim world. Basically, what feminism is fighting for has similarities and principles with what Islam is fighting for.
In Islam, feminism is seen as an attempt to equalize and treat women as creatures of God.
This is because the principles championed by feminism have a meeting point with Islamic theology. Especially theology which wants to create a just and equal life between men and women.
Of course there are aspects where feminism becomes a problem and a problem for Islamic theology. Problems occur when feminism wants to supremacy and exploitation of the opposite sex, which in this case is men.
Such feminism is not in line with the Islamic perspective. This is because the Islamic perspective wants men and women to interact fairly, equally and humanely.
