Every journey opens new doors for us. One discovers oneself better with nature. So when my friend suggested that we go up the mountain, I immediately accepted his offer. We were going to climb the magnificent mountains of Ermenek district and see caves dating back to ancient times. What I was most curious about was how the view would look from there. I couldn't wait to see the magnificent dam lake from the top.

I had come to the town for a soccer match and I also had a plan to take my car to a mechanic and do some shopping. If there was time, I was going to do some sightseeing, but time passed so fast that I didn't have time to visit the mountain. I learned from my friend that time was actually enough :) Cafer's offer was quite attractive. We were going to climb the slopes that the car would have difficulty in climbing with his mountain bike. It looked like it was going to be quite an exciting journey. Cafer, who lived close to this district, had been to the mountains many times before and had visited the third largest cave in the world called Maraşpoli. In fact, during his high school years, they had entered the mountain through an entrance that no one knew about. They had spent hours there. According to him, there was a big underground city under the district.

There was no time for the cave. Since we had little time, we went to an area where we could enjoy the view. Nevertheless, if you are interested in this cave, I can give you some information. Inside the cave is one of the largest underground waters in the world. This place is open to visitors. The water coming out of here meets the water needs of the district and villages. There is also a staircase for you to enter the cave comfortably. I plan to go there on our next trip.

Even if it was not a cave tour, the places we visited were quite beautiful. A long time ago people had hollowed out this mountain. They lived in these places where a family could fit comfortably. The entrance to the caves, which were high for safety reasons, was quite narrow. It was wide enough for a person weighing eighty kilos. I went into one of the caves and had this unique experience. There was a stone place to sit and lie down. I admired the people who were able to do this with the limited means of long ago.
