Eco-Friendly Living - The marine environment is deteriorating over time.

Hello everyone. How were you today?

Today, I'd like to discuss a rather frustrating topic in modern life: environmental pollution, particularly in the marine environment. The environment is severely polluted in the global context, particularly in developing countries. Environmental protection is one of the most important issues that people worldwide, particularly in Vietnam, are concerned about. The remarkable development of the marine economy is the expansion of tourism and marine services and at-sea fishing, which has resulted in population concentration. The process of urbanization in coastal areas promotes increased pollution, such as increased wastewater, solid waste, and non-biodegradable garbage, which negatively impacts the marine environment. This morning, I went for a jog on the beach near my university school. On the golden sands, I came across a horrifying. Domestic waste flows from the sewer to the sea. It smelled so bad that I almost puked. Not only that but domestic waste is dumped in the wrong place and spread on the sand.

In those images above demonstrate how severely polluted the sea is. Domestic wastewater and industrial wastewater from factories are flowing into the sea from sewers and water boundaries. Toxic chemicals follow those polluted waters, endangering the lives of countless marine creatures. Not only that, but it can move in the opposite direction of the human. Summer is just around the corner in Vietnam. With the hot summer weather, most people opt for the border as the best place to unwind. However, the seawater is now polluted, causing dangerous diseases to affect people.

Garbage has polluted a stretch of the coast, with dead fish washing ashore and metal cans floating in the water. Human activities contribute to an increase in waste, which has an impact on the environment in coastal, sea, and island areas.

Damaged fishing nets and fishing gear thrown in inappropriate places also have an impact on the marine environment. If sea levels rise and sea waves are high, history will repeat itself. All kinds of fishing nets and tools end up in the sea, and unfortunately, all kinds of sea creatures are caught. How difficult it will be for them to live if they become entangled in it, which can lead to death.

Perhaps this is due in part to people's awareness while walking and playing on the beach. After eating fast food in non-biodegradable plastic containers, do not dispose of the garbage in the proper location, but rather on the beach. Disposable plastic waste spreads to coastal areas and into the sea, resulting in fish, shrimp, and other seafood eating garbage and then being eaten by humans. As a result, people are at risk of developing digestive and respiratory diseases, as well as cancer and a plethora of other dangerous diseases.

Despite being asked not to throw trash near the beach, there are still bags of trash littered next to the sign.

To prevent and reduce the amount of garbage on the coast, the most effective measures must be implemented. Propaganda aimed at instilling a sense of responsibility in the community and coastal cities. Arousing pride in not only having beautiful and poetic sea and island landscapes of each region but also natural resources and marine biodiversity resources, serves as the foundation for promoting the strength of the entire population. Building and improving the legal framework, strengthening control and preventing acts of exploitation and indiscriminate use of marine resources, destroying the landscape, polluting the marine environment with obsolete technologies (mines, electric jacks, small-sized nets), and exploiting all marine species. Increase the number of self-sorting trash cans near the beach so that people can sort their trash after having fun and dispose of it in the proper location.

Let us all work together to protect the marine environment by raising awareness. We can only survive for as long as the environment and nature exist. Nature is a gift from nature; it does not belong to anyone, but rather to everyone. Taking care of the environment is like taking care of your second home. Let us live green, clean, and beautiful lives.
