Hi Hivers in ecoTrain community, what kind of stove are you using? With the development of all aspects of modern life, modern electric, induction and gas stoves have become familiar and basic appliances in our kitchens. But for me, the wooden stove is still something with a memorable and primitive beauty.
I do not refuse the convenience of modern stoves such as electric, induction or gas stoves. They are easily installed in the corners of modern kitchens, using modern energy sources. They are also easy to use and do not produce smoke. Just press a button, we have fire to cook. For wooden stove, the first thing we have to do is collect firewood, then it takes time to light a fire and keep the fire burning during the cooking process. Not to mention, the process of cooking with wood can produce a lot of smoke.
However, everything has two sides. The convenience of modern kitchens can be exchanged for the destruction of nature and global warming. Going back to the past, fire was one of the greatest inventions of mankind. Since ancient times, people have used wood to create fire. Fire helps people cook, keep warm and drive away animals. In modern life, people mainly use fire for cooking.
For me, a fire made from wood has always been more beautiful than a modern flame. So although I usually use modern stoves, sometimes I still like to light a fire with dry wood for cooking or to sit with friends. In the cold weather at night, sitting around the fire, grilling and eating something and chatting with friends feels really cozy. In my opinion, making a fire is also a survival skill that everyone should learn. Although most of us are living with modern devices, maybe one day we will get lost in the forest. What would you do?
Also, the wooden stove is my memorable childhood. I was born and grew up in Dak Lak, a mountainous province on highlands of Vietnam. At that time, the weather is really cold at night in my place. I still remember all members in my family gathered around the fire and had some hot sweet potato before going to bed. The life at that time was difficult but so much happy. We didn't have electric light. In the evening, children like me used to use burning charcoal to draw on the dark air.
I hope you guys like the post and photos. And I wish you a nice day. Christmas is coming, let's make some fire.
