Politics isnt evil its necessary to work together. Without it no one could ever collaborate with another. China is extremely powerful and could impact Russia... but they also have their own designs on Taiwan. I do think that the US and NATO are really the only things that can stop Russia. Russia is going to be cut off from the rest of the world financially and from supplies. Russia is a huge economy but well have to see how long they can operate solo. If China gives them money and supplies then the world could be in big trouble.
