Young adults are getting the rights taken away without representation.

Oh this is one way to alienate all of our newest voters.

Well I really don't see this going anywhere and I really see a lot of pushback on this by the majority of Americans.

Absolutely an 18-year-old should be able to buy a normal rifle. And in fact few 18-year-olds have mental issues and actually commit these crimes I mean it's very very small fraction of total crimes committed Nationwide.

I actually support lowering the age of firearms purchase to 16 and as well allowing 16-year-olds to possess and conceal AKA constitutional carry. Yep and anyone violating the law against attacking others or using that firearm in a manner other than for defensive protection for themselves or others.

I believe we already have laws against murder robbery and other crimes. I just think that they should be upheld to a higher standard then they currently are.

I mean all of this effort is being placed into all of this gun control this is time and funds being spent on frivolous and useless legislation to address a problem that is a community problem.

At the local community needs to know about its children and not only did the local school system and the local law enforcement fail the community in proactive policing and previously identifying this individual for what was going on publicly and openly. It definitely wasn't acceptable for the situation to have been escalated to this point with no intervention by local mental health as well as School administration.

And all these cases we are looking at we see quite a bit of issues and my question is is was this young man being medicated because I've seen a lot of our youth end up addicted to pharmaceuticals. Oftentimes the repression of feelings and being isolated on top of the massive psychological effect these pharmaceuticals have upon others. It ends up coming way too overwhelming for a lot of these young men to deal with alone and there is just no support system.

The schools are quite a bit of responsibility for not identifying these situations and providing appropriate intervention and resources for mental health.

This would be a reason why we have school counselors and school mental health staff.

Absolutely this isn't a gun problem. This is a mental health problem.

We don't need more laws we need more Community involvement we need more parents having bobds with their kids we need more people taking the time to help others and especially our own younger generation.
