UNOFFICIAL WINNERS LIST FOR #HivePUD (Hive Power Up Day) March 1st, 2022

Unofficial Winners List March 1 2022 blog graphic.png

PLEASE NOTE - Since this post is going out a day later than usual (partly because of HiveSQL being down, and partly because yesterday ended up being much busier than I'd hoped & I only made it two-thirds of the way through the names before hitting the hay), the official results post will be a day later as well. To make it a bit easier for folks to tell, I'm setting a countdown timer on this one for 24 hours and when it expires, I'll hit "Publish" on the official one (I don't want to schedule it on the off chance any changes need to be made... no need of jinxing!).

And before I get to the preliminary numbers, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this month's Hive Power Up Day, either through powering up, posting, offering prizes, or spreading the word. As I said on @hivebuzz's Feedback from the March 1st Hive Power Up Day post...

February disappeared in the blink of an eye, and now the second anniversary of our blockchain home approaches towards the end of March. What better way to celebrate than to power up some Hive? And judging by all my FRIDAY Discord notifications, as well as all the #HivePUD and #HPUD in my Twitter feed, I'd say a good number of people decided to do just that.

While I don't think we're going to break any records (not at all surprising, given so many things going on in the world at the moment), I think we'll again have a goodly number of new faces joining the Power Up ranks this month. And ultimately that's the goal - to encourage our newest and smallest members to stake their tokens, so they can grow their accounts. I know a number of OG Hivers who powered up today too, which is also wicked awesome and serves as an excellent example to newbies that even bigger accounts like to celebrate the first of every month by continuing to BUIDL.

As always, a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this Power Up Day by powering up, posting, and/or shouting out on all traditional web 2.0 social media. All of those things help shine a light on the blockchain, which in turn helps to grow our community. Special thanks to @hivebuzz for always BEEing such an incredible buzz-maker for Hive Power Up Day, and for continuing to add to the blockchain fun. And here's to all the Hiveans, new and old, who continue to increase their voting power and influence on the blockchain - congratulations to you all!

I'm happy to say that while participation was down, it was much better than I expected! I'd say it's again a testament to how passionate and devoted our Hive community is.

To break it all down, we had 96 qualifying entries for the prize pool (compared to 102 in February) with 148 total entries (compared to 161 last month) and 165 posts with either the #HivePUD or #HPUD tags on the first (175 last month).

As for the overall number, the power ups ranged from 0.001 to 1050.000 Hive Power, for a grand total of...

9,584.230 Hive Powered Up!

By comparison, the total in February was 15,993.557, and January's was 9,748.089. So we bumped up about 6k last month, and now almost matched the beginning of the year, which I still think is...

The lists

Here is the UNOFFICIAL winners list for March 1st. If you spot any errors, or your powerup/post was somehow overlooked, please shout out as soon as possible.

And as usual, on March 5th as I said at the top of the post, in 24 hours, I'll publish the OFFICIAL written-in-stone list, and at that time the sponsors can award their prizes (the complete list is in the announcement post).

Again as always, special thanks to my numbers guy @abh12345 for sending along the raw data for me to use to put this together as fast as possible after HiveSQL was available again. You ROCK, Asher! 😊

This list only includes those who powered up & posted about #HivePUD and/or #HPUD on the 1st, and met the criteria (reputation between 39 and 69 before powering up; Hive Power between 100 and 8000 prior to the 1st), and posted using the tag(s) so they qualify for prizes. I don't assign placement numbers until the official list is posted, and I've added a separate list below this one for those who posted & powered up, but their accounts were either too big/too small in their Hive Power or Reputation to qualify for the usual monthly prize pool.

they participated anyway!❤️
which inspired me in August 2021 to start offering a small but special prize pool for these folks)
