We are in the first weekend of 2023, it’s been fantastic because of Hive. I am having my first New Year Celebrations in Hive world and really enjoyed sharing my past and present experience regarding New Year celebrations. On the first day of 2023, I had a perfect picnic with family, click here to get a glimpse on that post of mine. That was not it, we had a family dinner at the end of the day.
Luckily, it was Sunday on 1st of Jan so, we planned to celebrate my wedding anniversary on that same day instead of on 4th Jan. When we returned from picnic, my Mother asked me to order food online and give a day rest to the ladies of the family. This will be a treat from my parents on my wedding anniversary. We used to have Pizza, fast food, chowmein through online orders but this time, I was looking to try something new which is always risky and could spoil the event and the moment if no one likes it. I was thinking about it and checking my facebook page suddenly saw a good deal from Chinese restaurant.
Talking about Chinese food in Pakistan, as far as I have experienced, we do not have typical Chinese taste and food. It is more like Pakistani Chinese dishes, sometimes oily, too much spices or no taste at all. Still when I saw the name and reviews of that online restaurant, I thought to give it a try and ordered a deal for six persons.
Golden Dragon, the name of the restaurant, was attracting me and have something in this name which forced me to order food from them. Just because of the word DRAGON, I wanna have a Dragon Meal . Food arrived within 45 mins, quick service and now, it was the time to check quality and quantity of the food.
Looking at those dishes, felt that the quantity is fair enough just chowmein was not looking enough for six persons. Everyone of us started tasting all of the dishes one by one to check the taste. Honestly, I was happy with the order, it was delicious, had a different taste from other restaurants. I liked dragon prawns a lot, they were just blowing my taste buds, I waited for others to take so I can finish them :P
Chowmien was not that good though but other family members liked it, in fact they liked all of them. Risk was cleared and the whole family enjoyed the Chinese food even kids too, liked the chowmein and fried rice with other gravies. Seeing my family happy with my decision, it felt so good and satisfied. We had a perfect dinner to end the first day of 2023. Hope to have many more wonderful dinners in 2023. Cheers!!!
