Preparing Pepper Stew For The Following Week

After my exams, I decided to visit my elder brother's family.
The whole family knows he cooks alot and almost better than my mom.

Maybe because he is the firstborn or he was so close to mom, he has however showed he is still good at it.

Because of the nature of his job, he only gets to cook during the weekend because on week days, he might get posted to a far place for work. We decided to cook on of my favorite dishes.

Rice and Peppered Stew.

The ingredients we used are
onions
curry and thyme
Fresh pepper straight from the farm
Tomato paste
Groundnut oil
hotdogs
carrots
chicken
fish

Procedure

Firstly, we parboiled the rice for some minutes to remove the starch and after that was done.

We started to prepare the stew, starting by steam cooking the chicken and fish respectively then we marinated the chicken and fish to make it very tasty, we did this for about 15 minutes.

While doing that, I blended a mixture of fresh tomatoes and peppers and some onions so I could add it the stew.

After blending, I put the steamed fish and chicken inside the blended sauce, brought out another pot .

My brother poured the oil in the pot, and then added the tomato paste for it to cook well, next the blended sauce and then other ingredients followed to finalize our cooking. it was a really wonderful cooking time with me and my brother.
